  1. The issue is the expiration of the medical. The visa when issued will expire 6 months from the date of the medical. Your idea severely limits the time frame for the k2 to enter the USA to no more than 6 months from that early medical date, which defeats the flexibilty of the up to one year follow to join benefit. Properly planned, follow to join can be stretched to almost 18 months if so needed.
  2. Why would you suggest doing a k2 medical which had a 6 month expiration when a K2 follow to join is up to 1 year after the k1? The OP needs to treat these separately with their own timelines
  3. The circumstances behind what you might consider "staged evidence" is NOT what the USCIS looks at for petition approval. Many people do exactly what the OP has done.
  4. If the child is not applying for a visa at the same time as the k1 they do not need to attend the interview with the k1. They will need to attend their own interview when they finally apply for the k2 in the future
  5. She will present both upon departure when coming home
  6. The I 129f is as of the date of submission. You don't need to update any information with the USCIS. The only address to keep updated is the mailing address for the petitioner so any notices can be received
  7. The real question is how long is it valid fir immigration purposes. The US DOS is the one that would make that determination, if at all.
  8. You must file at the consulate that has jurisdiction over your state. The consulate in Houston is the location for Texas. Go to the website and follow the consulate instructions (they vary slightly from consulate to consulate). Very easy process https://houstonpcg.dfa.gov.ph/index.php/consular-services/civil-registry/report-of-marriage
  9. If they were never married the father has no parental rights. His permission should not be required
  10. My wife took her medical in early December. Her visa wasn't issued until March. Expiration was early June. Our eyes were wide open about expirations and we made it work.
  11. You will become educated when the visa arrives and the visa expiration is the end of September not early November like you might be thinking
  12. Medical and visa will expire on the same day which is 6 months from the first day of the medical (unless you get caught up in sputum testing). It is advisable not to do it too far in advance of the interview BTW, Everyone gets in before having visa in hand.
  13. You can't get the visa before the medical is done. A visa appointment letter is a requirement.
  14. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country.html Follow the link above and look up each country for requirements and process. You might be surprised that at least one if not two on your list will not issue if you are no longer present in country
  15. Possibly but don't forget about the beneficiary's ability to be credited with stack on SSA credits Manila doesn't even ask for the I134 in most cases, just a select few get asked.
  16. K2 not K4. Yes, you and the child's mom can be married when the K2 is issued
  17. By VJ definition, regional forums are not just limited to immigration topics
