  1. PDOS is the wrong seminar for a spouse. The required seminar is GCP.
  2. My wife has an annotated bc as well and we did not have to do any additional evidence.
  3. Really? Ok. Alternate Documents: (Will only be accepted when the certificate issued by PSA indicates “No record available”). Other pertinent documents determined by the adjudicating consular officer to his/her satisfaction for visa purposes. May include: Personal copy of birth not available from PSA, LCR, and National Archives. Baptismal certificate from the church or substantiated by affidavits from two disinterested persons who have personal knowledge of the birth, death, or marriage, Certificate of Foundling issued by the Inter-Country Adoption Board (ICAB).
  4. NSO doesn't exist anymore. If anyone should have gotten hassled by CFO, my wife should have been one. This is my third marriage, my second with a k visa and a 35+ year age difference. She went into the seminar confident and came out an hour or so later smiling.
  5. In the 17 years i have been a member of this site, i honestly cannot remember a time where CFO was denied. A few have been found it a bit more challenging but ultimately have received the "sticker" in the end by having to comply with a bit of additional beauracratic BS.
  6. The only thing closed is a marriage in Philippines unless you are willing to get your foreign divorce recognized. Marriage anywhere else in the world or fiancee are available.
  7. You will not be the first to show up to the Consulate with a late registered BC. The Consulate is aware these situations exist and as long as you present a BC from PSA, as the issuing authority, all should be fine. Alternate documents are only accepted when PSA indicates "no record available"
  8. In order for you to get married in Philippines, the LGUs are more often requiring a CENOMAR from both party to get a marriage license. You will not be able to provide this because you still have a registred marriage.
  9. Not sure why you posted in the K3 forum. Find the Middle East Nort Africa forum as that will be a better place for said question
  10. Yes. She will require the GCP seminar.
  11. Typically a couple of weeks. It all depends on how big the queue of cases needing subsequent document review is.
  12. It isn't a laughing matter as the improper use of that "synonym" has resulted in a denied visa.
  13. I would never sell assets and create a taxable event just for this. If the asset can be easily liquidated into cash then for affidavit purposes, it treated the same as cash
  14. 1. No worries just abbreviate, nothing gets sent to her anyway. 2. See #1 3. You can 4. Annotating is allowed. Photos are secondary evidence, don't waste a bunch of time, focus on primary evidence. (I sent zero pictures with my petition, so that shows you how much value picures have). 5. Sure 6. Sure
  15. My bad. Here is the one for KSA https://uploads.mwp.mprod.getusinfo.com/uploads/sites/130/2023/08/K-1-Packet-3.pdf
  16. The length of employment is not important. The Consulate is interested in your current earnings. This can be documented by pay stubs if you haven't cycled a tax year. The $25k in the bank will not have the impact that you might hope for. FYI, the Consulate more often than not doesn't even ask for the I134 during the interview.
  17. With the help of Google and about 5 minutes i found the packet 3 instructions https://ng.usembassy.gov/immigrant-visas-processing-in-lagos/ Scroll down the page until you find the link for the prepatory information for k1
  18. You book it yourself. Have you searched the consulate website for the instructions because most do not send a packet 3 anymore because everything is electronic
  19. They are not investment advisors or bankers who critique or criticize your investment mix. You are over thinking this. Document your asset values and move on.
  20. SLEC will give you the needed vaccinations during your exam for no additional cost
  21. Since the child in not the primary beneficiary and won't be named in the approval. When the time arrives to submit the DS160 the case numbers will be the same as what is assigned by NVC except with the additional -1 and -2.
  22. The Filipina will NEVER receive any correspondence during this process. The only delivery will be the visa package and the delivery address is given to the delivery agency at the time of the interview.
  23. A careful read of the USCIS website would indicate... "The processing time displayed on the USCIS website is the amount of time it took us to complete 80% of adjudicated cases over the last six months. Processing time is defined as the number of days (or months) that have elapsed between the date USCIS received an application, petition, or request and the date USCIS completed the application, petition, or request (that is, approved or denied it) in a given six-month period." and before you ask the next question, these times are updated monthly.
