  1. As the title says, I cannot update my timeline. I have just received notice from the NVC that they received my petition from the USCIS, provided me my case number, and said they have sent my petition to the embassy in my fiance's home country all in one response email. This was on July 3. However when I go to update my timeline in my profile it will not accept the date I enter, and puts "ERROR" on both my "Date I-129F NOA2 Approved" box (March 24, 2023) and "Date Package Received By NVC" box (July 3, 2023. I don't know exactly the day the NVC got my petition because I was never told when they got it). Are the two dates too far apart or something? I'm entering in the date using the calendar provided by the site. I'd like to keep my timeline up to date just to keep the record.
  2. I used the email nvcresearch@state.gov. Enter your USCIS receipt number as the subject of the email. I just kept it as polite and professional as possible, giving them my NOA2 date and asking if they received my petition from the USCIS yet. All their responses start with "To Whom It May Concern" which kinda made me think there wasn't a real person responding. But hey, eventually I got a response saying everything was received and sent off.
  3. I followed up with the NVC at the 90-ish day mark (a little passed it), and I got a response the next day saying "Hey we received your petition from the USCIS, here's your case number, oh and by the way we also sent it off to the embassy where your fiancé's interview is." Uh, ok! Great? Kinda thought I would be notified in stages, but this works I suppose. I was under the impression I had to submit a few more things before they would send it to the embassy. I also can't update my timeline. Best I can figure is that the time between my NOA2 and NVC receiving my petition is too great. Both lines have "error" next to them when I try to update it but it won't tell me why its an error.
  4. Woooo Congrats! We are passed our 60 days of waiting for the USCIS to send our petition to the NVC... was hoping for better timing.
  5. Apparently the National Visa Center (NVC) will contact you at some point and give you further instructions. I say "at some point" because some of us are waiting longer, and some much longer, than we were originally told it would take.
  6. I just got a response back this morning again saying to check in with them again at 60 days. So another 30 day wait.
  7. I wish I could but I don't know at this time, I would have to research it. Currently I'm trying to help figure out how my fiancé can get a police certification from a country she no longer resides in. Fun stuff for sure!
  8. That's really rough... I'm guessing you're planning on filing an extension for your NOA2 approval. I think I might have to do that, since I just found out we will need additional information from the Haitian government in the form of a police certificate. Who knows how long that can take.
  9. I just got a response this morning and they say haven't received our application from the USCIS either. They said it can take up to 6 weeks, which you are obviously well beyond, for an application to arrive. I was told to check the processing times, and as of April 24 they are working on cases they received from the USCIS on April 14th. But since my case hasn't been received at all it doesn't seem to matter what the timeframes are. However, the email response from the NVC said that I can send them a scanned copy of my NOA2 letter to nvcresearch@state.gov, which they will then contact the USCIS to find the petition. Before sending them the email I just have to check the contents of my NOA2 to verify that they said they sent the approved application to the NVC.
  10. I honestly didn't know the timeline was a thing. I just now saw that link under my name and filled out what I could. I did send a public inquiry soon after my above post, as I tend to find and make small bits of progress after making my struggles public, lol. Of course no responses regarding it yet, as I saw it can take a week or more to get a response to public inquiries.
  11. Its been over 4 weeks and not a peep from the NVC... I tried going to the NVC website because I've seen other threads say that you have to sign up with an email there, except there is no place to sign up for anything on their website. Been finding so much conflicting information I don't even know what the next step is. I see people here are getting status updates, but how? Where are these updates coming from?
  12. I think overthinking this stuff is true for a lot of people, myself included. I'm asking myself questions like "Does this need a wet signature? Am I allowed to scan anything or does everything have to be originals? Does this letter from my employer expire????" It doesn't help that there is the occasional conflicting information on other websites as well. Some say you should do some pretty ridiculous things. One website I checked said that filers needed a formal letter and wet signature from their flippin' regional bank manager verifying the existence of the bank account. I was like seriously? There's no way.
  13. I am divorced as well, so that doesn't seem to be a factor. It is odd that they would skip people.
  14. Thank you! My NOA1 was February 7, 2022. Thank you. It is strange that despite my case being about 1 week after yours it was approved before yours. I'm hoping the best of news for you!
  15. Oh goodness I almost died... I just saw here that they started with February filers so I checked my status and our case was approved!!!
  16. While those numbers were taken without much detail, the sheer number of denials is a bit unsettling, given I've heard the rates being much higher in past research.
