  1. Did you mail your passport to the consulate via purolator or Canada post? Just want to see which one is more reliable. thanks!
  2. For those who were able to mail the documents to the consulate, how did you guys find the Purolator location that accepts mailing the documents to the consulate? I was trying to look on the document that MTL consulate published in https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ca/iv/account but all I could see was a bunch of Canada post locations. Thanks in advance
  3. hello wondering if in that email did the consulate ask you to update DS260? thanks!
  4. Just want to vent. Spouse interviewed in mid Dec. got DS5535. CEAC had not had any updates since Dec 22. At time of interview VO asked us to submit her unexpired visa from old third country passport. Then when we emailed them to clarify whether to send in the unexpired visa first, they said just wait for the visa team for further instruction. So we are not sure whether to send in the old unexpired US visa or just wait. worried that if we don’t send it in and a year passes by and then they’ll have an excuse to screw us over saying we didn’t follow 221g. Tired of this bullshit. As an American my country has only disappointed me again and again. also who should I vote for in president election to fight this immigration BS?
  5. this makes me feel terrible. They asked for two things: unexpired visa on an expired passport, and the DS5535. I think the DS5535 was given because she’s Chinese origin. Typical American BS
  6. My wife interviewed today at MTL and got served 221g and DS-5535. 221g was for her unexpired US tourist visa on her expired and now surrendered old citizenship (she's a Canadian now). We are so frustrated and disheartened. We have worked so hard for so long and even bought a house together in the US thinking we would be living together soon which now would just be an empty nest every time I come home from work... I am just so incredibly disappointed at this outcome.
  7. My wife interviewed today and got served 221g for old passport with unexpired US tourist visa (she's a Canadian now and old country's citizenship was surrendered after she became a Canadian) and DS-5535. It's disheartening. Looking at the DS5535 from MTL thread I am just not looking forward to holiday season and 2024.
  8. DQ'ed since Jan and not having the IL would be a nightmare...
  9. I wish the process is more transparent. At least let us know our position in the queue. I also wonder if there are actions we can take just in case files fall through the cracks..
  10. Ugh this gives me anxiety. You should have gotten one in today's batch. Now I am worried if I will get one next month since I was DQ'ed on July 10
  11. DQ'ed on July 10th...hoping to get interview letter in September!
