Ksamwise20 got a reaction from Liketotravel2012 in People approved in Montreal.
Following this thread as well. Is this a Montreal consulate thing or does this happen in other countries as well?

I got my visa issued yesterday (CEAC portal and email from donotreply@usvisa-info.com). I also got notification from the courier with a track number. It will arrive on May 17.
Thank you all for your suggestions along the way...
I will write a detailed post once I receive the visa in hands outlining my journey start to finish.. Take care..

Ksamwise20 got a reaction from Redro in US citizen getting married to a Canadian citizen
The good news through the Canada forum is that apparently the backlog is being quickly cleared and most people get an interview date ~2 months from DQ!

Sounds like a total non-issue to me. Unless he lived there with Bangladesh was East Pakistan, it's not even MENA anyway. I doubt he's that old. LOL

I have no idea how Canadian taxes work, but yes if you are employed form your U S address and have a date to go back that sounds very positive

Ksamwise20 got a reaction from Boiler in Proving domicile when not living in the U.S.
Just to be clear, when you file Form I-864 you can put Canada as country of domicile, and then submit a ton of evidence that you have a sincere intent to re-establish domicile in the US. Once and if you are DQ'ed, the USC can actually move to the US physically to set up domicile and this proof can be submitted to the Montreal consulate a few weeks before the interview?

I wish I had know this. The attorney I paid for a detailed consultation did not mention this.

It is filled from entries in Part 1. Use Adobe Acrobat for best behavior of form.

You've go a ways to go yet. I wouldn't panic about domicile yet.
