    Yeah, amazing how they were so brazen about it when it is clearly false. You either get lucky and approved same day as biometrics or have to wait months/years with very little in between. I'm going try again in a couple of weeks, seems like yet more luck of the draw on who you get responding to your request.

    Yeah it is very frustrating, why these aren't approved automatically is beyond me. You being a healthcare professional might be the thing that tips it in your favour. I'll give it a few weeks then try again, try and get someone more favourable, if I had an accurate timeline it wouldn't be so bad...

    Expedite already denied 😞, amusing that they say this: They aren't processed in date order...

    Just submitted my expedite evidence, no doubt it will be rejected but you live in hope. The fact that USCIS needs the information to be faxed speaks volumes...

    Yeah it seems to be completely random. I think we are quite "lucky" in Michigan, seems to be one of the states with a lower average approval time for GC but I certainly don't plan to wait quietly for 15+ months. Just getting some evidence together for my expedite and going to attach a cover letter to tug at the ol' heart strings and win them over.

    An update on my EAD expedite request (filed via Emma live chat on 12/12/2022). Got an email today asking me to fax evidence, so better than the flat out denial but not as good as the approved without evidence. I had asked last Thursday (live chat again) about the status of my expedite and was told it was taking a bit longer than usual. Not sure if that was the trigger for the email or just coincidence.

    Shouldn't be this difficult to contribute some tax dollars to the US economy... 😕 Silly how long that is taking, especially because it prevents you from doing any expedites.

    You can check on the USCIS website what the processing times are but for EAD at NBC it is 8.5 months. I'm surprised you haven't had your appointment yet, have you tried calling them up?

    Hopefully if they do respond it is positive 🤞. Interesting that you said your application will soon be out of the normal processing time, isn't that months away?

    The boredom is really setting in, annoying having to turn down job offers because of no certainty when I will get my EAD. 😞 I ended up sending an expedite this morning, not expecting anything to come from it but that won't stop me applying again and again until they give in. Did you get a confirmation email from them after you expedited or has it been complete radio silence since the 2nd?

    Should be the National Benefits Center (same for everyone?), I believe it says at the bottom of the physical NOA1.

    Not getting that same/next day approval for EAD a few other people have had has me assuming that I am in it for the long haul. 😞

    No change from yesterday, got 3 emails this morning saying they have taken action on my case (I assume those are delayed responses from yesterday). You?

    I believe it will delay your EAD until they receive your RFE response. What time was your walk-in?

    I-485 and I-765 have updated to "Case is being actively reviewed by USCIS".

    Biometrics done today, appointment was at 2pm, in at 1:45 and out 10 minutes later, place was dead. Now the waiting begins...
