Got some updates. Two months after receiving that email from NVC, i got an email again. Logged in with case number and invoice to find that NVC returned my case to uscis (the message says administrative processing) since my petitioner was deceased by the time my application got approved. I reached out to USCIS by sending an inquiry to check what is going on. They replied on 04/04/2022 that my petition was automatically revoked as we had a deceased petitioner but we can still continue and request reinstating the petition on humanitarian grounds. They gave us like 2 months to submit some documents they requested as evidence for them to decide on our case. Then, after 6 months and on December 14, 2022 they sent a notice by mail that my case got reinstated on humanitarian grounds. Now I’m waiting for the case to be returned back to NVC and to continue with the process. Does anyone know how much time does it take for uscis to send the case back to NVC ?
