What is your PD? Hang in there, Feb 2022 filers are up next! I know it's hard but this is why I always say don't expect anything before 12 months. Most cases take between 12 - 14 months and that's just the first step. You have to stay strong.

Thanks for sharing! We are in Potomac, so I am not expecting much, to be honest with you. I see you are in California so hopefully you will hear something soon.

Not much movement for filers in 2022 yet. I think most service centers are processing Nov & Dec 2021 right now.
I'm in Potomac too (PD is Feb 12th). They seem to be processing cases from November 2021 right now. So we probably have 2-3 more months of waiting. Hopefully, it goes by faster OF COURSE!

Has anybody seen a "Processing Time" tab in the main USCIS page where you check on your case documents and whatnot?
I logged in today and just noticed this new tab was added on mine, is this new or has this been a thing?

Either way gives me hope it may be sooner than I thought! Finger's crossed.

Yea I submitted my tax transcript and then for my joint sponsor I just submitted his complete tax return for 2021. So that brought me a lot of relief knowing that wouldn’t be an issue

If you are at the NVC stage yet, why would you wait for tax transcripts when you can upload a copy of the tax returns?  Without them, you will never be document qualified.  You are needlessly delaying your case.

    Hello,
I recently just passed the i-130 stage and now my case was transferred to the NVC.  I also amended my taxes.  Could take minimum 4 months.  As soon as my tax guy sends me copies I’m going to fill out form i-864.  Then after my amended taxes are mailed and filed I will order my tax transcripts online and then submit them to the NVC website.   Hope this helps.
  10. Thanks

You can submit a complete copy of your tax RETURNS. They don't have to be processed before submitting them.  They just have to have been sent to the IRS.

We took your advice and filed the K-3 in late June (original filing date for the I-130 was 1/28/22). Just received the I-130 approval notice yesterday (8/11/22) through the Nebraska Service Center.

I definitely feel that the K-3 helped. Currently processing times at Nebraska for the I-130 are 10.5 months, and 4.5 months for the K-3. Originally our lawyer told us not to expect anything before 13 months (March 2023) and the timelines here have suggested between November 2022 and March 2023 for us.

I saw that you might file the I-129F from your previous posts. We sent ours yesterday. Hopefully it helps. I'd be happy if it just shortened the processes a month or two.

davidtech reacted to AnnaCa in I-130 actively being reviewed should I file I-129?
Our I130 was filed April 2021, went in to actively reviewing in August 2021, then it went silent. Filed the I129F for K3 in October. In November the I130 was approved, and a couple of days after the I129F was denied. For us it adds up that it speeded up the process, but no guarantees 😊

Leave it blank.  You also do not need to show yourself as the preparer.  You can, but you don't need to.

in the instructions  for the form

NOTE: 1. If you are filing for your spouse, he or she must complete and sign Form I-130A, Supplemental Information for Spouse Beneficiary. If your spouse is overseas, Form I-130A must still be completed, but your spouse does not have to sign Form I-130A. Form I-130A must be submitted with Form I-130.

You being the preparer, the correct fields to choose are:
    Part 4: 1b., 2, 3, 4, 5,  - your spouses's info
Part 5 and Part 6 - your info

And when i went to UPS to get colored photo copy of my passport (long ago when we sent this by mail ) they said illegal to make a copy (even for me to make one) but inside the passport , it says to make 2 copies and carry one with u on international trips and leave the other safely with family or friends in the US

Name in the title is fine.  Name on the back is for filing by mail.

davidtech reacted to pushbrk in I-130 Required Documentation/Proof
Skip the affidavits.  Use primary evidence of time spent together in person.  Passport stamps and/or boarding passes are "primary evidence".  Photos together are good to include but are "secondary evidence".

Note the list in the instructions follows the words, "In addition to the required..." and mentions using some, not necessarily all the examples. In your situation the evidence of time together in person falls under "other".

Also, the I-130 can be filed online.  Therefore just upload scanned pdf''s of the documents.

You will be sending photocopies of supporting documentation.  That answer AND the answers to your other question you asked and some you didn't know about asking are found in the I-130 instructions.  Please download and become an A-Student of all those instructions.  THEN, you'll know what you don't understand and we'll be here to answer remaining questions.

No, the passport photos should not be printed on plain paper, but if you study those I-130a instructions, you'll know you don't need passport photos from your foreign spouse, if they are not currently in the USA.

Get on those instructions, so you'll know what you don't know.
  23. Thanks
davidtech reacted to pushbrk in Advice/Questions Regarding Form I-130
Some good answers already, so I'll focus on this part.  First, you will file a petition on her behalf (I-130).  When the petition is approved, she'll apply for a visa.  She can enter the US when she actually completes the process and has a visa.  If she already has a tourist visa, she can probably continue to use it to visit, as long as she doesn't overstay.

You may have read some incomplete information about an obsolete K3 visa.  Even when viable, it didn't really work the way people usually interpret the description.

Study the guide here then become an A-Student of the I-130 instructions.
