  1. I hope so too after reading a bunch of similar posts it seems it’s a common issue on their end which is very frustrating
  2. I just had this happen to me to this morning. It even so showed start now on my Ceac to start finishing my documents. On the email it says to just contact nvc inquiry and send them a statement from your bank account showing it was deducted. I paid mine 4/21 not sure why they would do this now
  3. We were born in the same country, have the same religion. I know it was because of the age gap because the CO after hearing im in my 30s and hes in his 20s he just said that was unusual and gave him that white form. Yea Im hearing bad things about embassy in Islamabad. Unfortunately we cant spend that much time together as he lives in Afghanistan and our country is going through the Taliban taking over. I would be targeted right away as an Afghan-American. His family cant leave and we cant get in so no time was spent with families just with each other.
  4. Just age difference. Im in my early 30s and hes in his early 30s. Im not that concerned on why it was sent back but more wanting to know if anyone has had this issue where they havent heard back from Embassy, NVC or USCIS while their petition was being sent back and if they contacted their senate or someone else to push for an answer.
  5. Petitioner: US CItizen Beneficiary: Afghan National Embassy: Islamabad Pakistan My fiance received a 221g white form at this interview. It just said sent back to USCIS for revocation no reason or answers. The embassy in Islamabad keep telling me the case was sent back to USCIS and to contact them within 6-8 weeks. Which I did. USCIS claims then claims they don't have anything returned to them & to contact Dept of State or Embassy. Embassy then states its with NVC and to contact them within 6-8 weeks. Which I did. NVC states case is with the Embassy still. So as you can see I am in a hell of a loop. Did anyone else have this experience or know of a way I can get answers ASAP. I'm tired of waiting for answers. I am tired of spending so much time being away from my loved one, money, energy. At least if I can get answers but this is just ridiculous this run around.
  6. Appreciate the advise & insight. Yeah the only reason I went to Pakistan was to see him. Other than that I would have never gone. My first visit was for 17 days in October and 2nd visit that is coming up in February I'm going for 10 days. Of course I wish I could stay more but as you are probably well aware jobs here in America don't want you to take so much time off from work. Both instances I have & will go over my available vacation time at work. We have a ton of pictures together we just don't have any from when we did our Nikka. It was more of a "courthouse" thing with our attorney to sign the legal documents vs a wedding type ceremony. I am having an actual wedding ceremony once he is able to come here so that we can have our loved ones around us. Pakistan is neither his or my country that's the reason of there being no family to come there.
  7. Me making this trip again after 4 months is waaaayy past what I could already afford and NOT convenient at all for me but I’m going cause we miss each other. That is me “DOING.” If you read my full sentence after I said I’m trying to spend as much time…I go on to say I’m going again…lol. Thanks for your comment have a nice day.
  8. thank you yes Jeanne Adil has shared with me some really good advise. My chances I'm not even sure at this point. I am trying to spend as much time with him and even visiting again in February. Im hoping them seeing that I am going back again after 4 months will show that we are trying to spend time together. Im worried about not being able to show family pictures because his family cant leave his country to come to a third country and my family financially and medical wise cant make the trip to Pakistan either. All I have are screenshots of my husband and my family on facetime.
  9. I hope we can over come all the negatives. I am already planning on visiting again but I always get nervous as what they consider is enough time spent as proof. Id love to live there for a while and spend months with him even but with work I'm kind of stuck gathering my PTO (Time off) and saving up for plane & hotel costs.
  10. The interview & medical was scheduled prior to me going there. He didn't just show up to the interview after he met me... We didnt meet earlier because of border closings due to the taliban situation in our home country and him not being able to get a passport & visa to go to a third country for his interview.
  11. Yea even my lawyer said that he was surprised they approved our meeting waiver and approved our petition after only 2 months of me filing. But that meeting waiver did nothing for me since even me showing up and meeting him didnt matter to them.
  12. thank you for all your advise. I will get started on adding him to all those things now. I just so far have him as an authorized user on one of my credit cards and on my life insurance policy.
  13. That is correct. USCIS approved our 2 year meeting waiver I was unable to go to Afghanistan because of the taliban takeover and he was unable to leave because he didnt have a passport. He was finally able to get a passport this year and got his visa to go to pakistan in July 2022. He had his interview Oct 2022 and that was the first time i met him. I know also us marrying while I was out there on our first meeting is a red flag in itself. But we were already in a relationship for a little over a year by this time.
  14. Thank you @jeanneAdil for the advise. Im going back to see him in Feb 2023 for 10 days. My first visit with him was for 17days. He is back in Afghanistan now and because of the issues with the Taliban I am unable to meet him there or visit with his family. And his family doesnt have passports or the means to leave to meet me in Pakistan. Hopefully this doesnt come back to bite me either later on as this is something out of my control.
  15. My background first... Me: US Citizen Husband: Afghan National Age gap-12 years I am in my early 30s and my husband is in his early 20s Nationality: We are both Afghan Religion: We are both Muslim K1 petition filed : Nov 2021 K1 petition sent back after interview: Oct 2022 Married: Oct 2022 CR1-plan to file in Feb 2023 Visits: 2x : 1st visit Oct 2022- 17 days 2nd visit Feb 2023- 10 days I met my husband originally online on a social media platform. We were not able to meet at that time due to the situation in Afghanistan and borders being closed. After a few months of us talking every single day we decided to get engaged and I started the K1 process (Nov 2021). USCIS approved our 2 year meeting waiver and our case was approved after 2 months (Jan 2022). After he was finally able to leave Afghanistan and go to Pakistan we transferred our case to Islamabad and had our interview for (Oct 2022). I finally flew out to him during his interview time. The Pakistani national only grabbed some of our paperwork. She didn't care about the photos, affidavit of support. Next he went to the CO window and was asked only these questions. How did we meet? Where do I work? How old are we both? (When he said our age he just said this is unusual and nothing else. Gave my fiancé a white 221g form that said "sent back to USCIS for revocation" and the window was slammed shut on my fiancé) I called USCIS and spoke with a Consular Officer from the California office & I spoke with my attorney and they both stated it can take over a year to hear back on a reason for the petition being sent back. My fiancé and I decided to get married while I was still in Pakistan. Since he was leaving to go back to our country in Afghanistan since we didn't know when we would see each other or what will happen to our case. All his family is in Afghanistan and all of mine are in the U.S. So none of our relatives or friends were able to come to our Nikah (wedding ceremony). We just had our attorney and witnesses that was there for our ceremony and we didn't take any photos. To be honest I didn't even want any taken as I plan on having the ceremony in the U.S with our loved ones. I am returning to Pakistan on Feb 2023 to finish registering our Nikah paperwork we did in Oct 2022 since we ran out of time and didn't have everything we needed when I was there to finish the registration. After my trip in Feb 2023 when I come back to the U.S. I plan to file the CR1. My fear now is will I just keep getting denial after denial. Just because of our age gap of 12 years? Im scared that no matter all the proper ways I do everything that we wont be approved or that we have to keep going into Admin Processing hell for years. If anyone can share their experience whether you're also an Afghan couple, have an age gap, went through Islamabad embassy. I guess I'm trying to be hopeful but fear of not being with my husband and starting our lives is slowly sinking in. Because of work I cant live with him or spend so much time over there. My first visit with him was for 17 days in Oct 2022 and my second visit with him will be for 10 days. I wish I could live there. I have pages and pages of text messages, phone/video calls. I hope I provided as much detail as possible for people to share their stories, advise, or anything. I don't know if there were other red flags in our case besides the age (which to me isn't even a red flag) as our own prophet was married at 25 to his first wife Khadija who was around 40.
  16. My fiancé went for his interview on the 11th of October. He received a white 221g slip and on the bottom the CO wrote “sent to USCIS for revocation.” Ceac date was updated on the 13th after his interview and showing Ready still. On US travel docs it’s showing this message “passport is still with embassy” (it’s not with them it’s with my fiancé and I’m not even sure if the website always said that or not). interview: fiancé arrived- woman asked for some documents- she took my 2020 w2 and tax transcripts but not my 2021. She didn’t take my affidavit of support. She didn’t look at our messages or call logs. She didn’t look at our western union or rent receipts. She didn’t look at our itinerary. (This woman was a third party Pakistani National not American citizen) fiancé went to CO window and he only said these things- how did you meet? what does she do for work? how old are you both? (He’s in his 20s I’m in my 30s with a 10 yr age gap) all he said to him was “that’s unusual” about our age gap and then wrote on the white 221g slip “revocation” and said the interview is done with no answer about any evidence we need just that it’s over and slammed the window in our face. Wanted to share this experience in case for others to see or if they had something similar happen and what was the outcome.
