  1. Hi everyone I have a question regarding the 2 years 9 months period to submit N400 do we have to stay in the US without visiting home the whole period of 2 years 9 months? Or is it ok if we visit? also if I choose to travel abroad to visit family for like a month, will this make the period 3 years till I submit N400? I mean the difference is only 3 months, I’m not sure if that’s worth not visiting my familY for 2 years 9 months. Please someone explain because I keep hearing different information. Someone said if I ever visit my family abroad, even for a week, I won’t be able to apply in 2 years 9 months.
  2. No I meant after the approval, how long does it take to produce and mail the green card to me after approval
  3. Hello everyone, anyone got their GC in NYC? How long does it take to receive the actual green card in NYC? the wait is different from a state to another, someone in Cali said 30 days, but we wanna know how long it takes to receive the GC in hand in New York. thanks in advance 🤍
  4. Does our N400, those based on VAWA GC, go to Vermont SC or does it go to the service centers closer to us?
  5. Hello all, I just paid the immigrant fee, I understand my green card will be mailed to me soon, but when submitting the N400, do I count 2 years 9 months from the day I received the visa, or from the day I enter the US or the day the actual green card gets issued and mailed? Thank you 🙏
  6. Yes after entry, I’ll share my full timeline and my consular interview experience.
  7. Hello family, I just received my passport today and when I checked the visa it says “Upon endorsement serves as temporary I-551 evidencing permanent residence for 1 year” I thought VAWA get a 10 year GC! is this just the validity of the visa itself, or is this gonna be the validity of my green card ?
  8. I’ll be here to help with vawa through consular processing and the IB1 visa process, feel free to tag or message me 🤍
  9. Hello family, I’m thrilled to announce that my visa has finally been issued today through consular processing! This was such a difficult journey and I’m happy that it’s finally over 🍀🎉 I’m finally going back home 🇺🇸 Thank you everyone for the knowledge and support ❤️
  10. Got it haha thank you Family for clarifying
  11. Makes sense. Thank you for clarifying @Demise
  12. No bigamy isn’t the issue, I was confused about the info regarding divorce and the eligibility to naturalize in a normal divorce or annulment situation not related to bigamy
  13. I thought everyone is eligible to naturalize if the vawa is approved regardless of their marital status with their abuser! Am I wrong?
  14. Yes because 90% of the vawa beneficiaries I know were divorced before their vawa was approved anyway and they are now US citizens. So I was confused by that information. I just wanna know this for sure because I’m still waiting for my green card and also filing for divorce since I don’t know how the annulment works in my situation.
  15. Are you saying if I file the divorce before I submit N-400, I’ll be ineligible for naturalization?
