    Hello all, I just paid the immigrant fee, I understand my green card will be mailed to me soon, but when submitting the N400, do I count 2 years 9 months from the day I received the visa, or from the day I enter the US or the day the actual green card gets issued and mailed? Thank you 🙏

    Hello family, I just received my passport today and when I checked the visa it says “Upon endorsement serves as temporary I-551 evidencing permanent residence for 1 year” I thought VAWA get a 10 year GC! is this just the validity of the visa itself, or is this gonna be the validity of my green card ?

    No bigamy isn’t the issue, I was confused about the info regarding divorce and the eligibility to naturalize in a normal divorce or annulment situation not related to bigamy

    I thought everyone is eligible to naturalize if the vawa is approved regardless of their marital status with their abuser! Am I wrong?

    Yes because 90% of the vawa beneficiaries I know were divorced before their vawa was approved anyway and they are now US citizens. So I was confused by that information. I just wanna know this for sure because I’m still waiting for my green card and also filing for divorce since I don’t know how the annulment works in my situation.

    Are you saying if I file the divorce before I submit N-400, I’ll be ineligible for naturalization?
