  1. Hello all, If the I-864 was signed with blue ink and is legible will the Form be rejected? How strict are they when it comes to the ink color of signatures? I was told it should be in black ink after submitting but I only read that the signature should be wet. Thanks in advance for any feedback.
  2. My files are under the 4MB and are pdf but I am still having issues. I am going to try this and also try converting to jpg.
  3. Thanks but what exactly did you do? There are all kinds of recommendations on this link.
  4. I tried this just now and it didn’t work. You would think NVC would have a seamless system for this. Thanks anyways!
  5. I appreciate you! Thanks for being a valuable contributor to this forum.
  6. I didn’t realize they would deduct the self employment loss from my W2 income. Thank you for this information. I will pull a copy of the Affidavit instructions.
  7. Hello all, I am the petitioner and my husband’s I-130 was approved on September 16, 2024. I received the letter from NVC on September 20, 2024 and paid both fees online (Affidavit of Support & IV) on September 23, 2024. I lost my job which was the employment I indicated on my I-130. I am also a real estate investor however I didn't put self employment in the I-130 because I have not been producing a positive Net income since COVID. My business bank account has some savings and I have 2 rental properties remaining since I sold 2 since 2022. I also have a retirement account. I say all this because I am wondering what I should do from here given the info I have provided? Ive been looking for work since August 2024 and no luck yet. I am aware that the tax documents (transcripts) will show my LLC filing with negative Net income, hence why I never included self employment and only entered W2 salary. Any suggestions based on what I have presented here? Do I move forward with the NVC Affidavit of Support and present assets or should I hold off a bit and see if I land something soon? Looking forward to your replies. Thanks in advance for any solid remedial advice.

  9. Thanks for following up! So the processing window can take almost 2 years after an application has been submitted? Thats a really long time.
  10. Hello VJ folks, USCIS received my application on June 20 2023 and started actively reviewing my Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative on August 16 2023. When I log into the portal, under myProgress it states the estimated time until the case decision is 12 months as of today (yesterday it stated 9 months). When I look up processing times for service centers and this category it states 80% of cases are completed within 14.5 months. Additionally, if I enter my receipt date it states…”The earliest you can submit questions is April 16, 2025. Please do not contact us before this date. We will notify you if we need any additional information. We appreciate your patience while we review your case. Processing times may change – return to this page regularly for updates.” Lastly, why would an applicant have to wait almost 2 years to submit a question to USCIS? Any feedback related to any of this would be appreciated. Respectfully,
  11. I visited my husband in Jamaica 3x since submitting the paperwork. I never encountered any issues.
  12. I asked about filing other documents because Ive seen some people filing concurrent packets. I was wondering if it was possible for I-130
  13. Thanks Mike. I was going to just mail the packet in because I have a lot of evidence to provide and the text messages and pictures would be a headache to upload.
  14. I am…but the I-130A says the beneficiary doesn’t have to sign (if overseas) however do I have to date that document or leave it blank? No date and no signature?
  15. Re: CR1 Visa Can the Petitioner of the I-130 submit other forms concurrently? Such as I-864? If so, can someone beak down what forms can be added besides the I-130A? Also, do I have to date the I-130A or leave the date blank along with blank signature? Thanks!
  16. Hello, I am the US petitioner married to the beneficiary who is overseas. He is living in Jamaica. Can someone help me figure out what US Embassy or US Consulate location I should enter based on the country he is in? Thank you
  17. Hello all, For the I-130 do I need to have my spouse mail the Affidavit’s from family/friends to me in the US or can it be scanned and emailed. In other words, does immigration need the wet signature notarized copies of the Affidavits of bonafide relationship? Thanks in advance
