My wifes interview was Friday. She was approved but the computer system was down so they couldn't finalize the paperwork. Would you be able to post back here once yours is done and let us know if the system is back up and running today? Best of luck on your interview, my wife said it was quick and easy - other than the computer part!

$540 is the cost for the greencard, or the cost to change it? Or both? Neither of us are super concerned about the name as long as it satisfies government and allows her to travel.

Thank you for this, very much appreciated. We aren't concerned about the future cost or the names being different for now. Our only concern is that we bring what is required for Friday's interview. From what I read hear, we should be good as the Canadian passport match the name that we filed all immigration paperwork with. Agree?

Interview Friday for us. Triple checking everything we need to bring. Question - my wife (Immigrating from Canada) and I were married a couple years ago. She changed her name with the license bureau but her passport still says her maiden name. On the list of requirements, it says to bring paperwork for name change. She was never given any paperwork when she changed her name with the license bureau, they just needed to see the marriage certificate. We really don't have any other paperwork for name change. Anyone else have any similar experience/advice?

Good afternoon, we recently had our medical appointment in Montreal at TELUS. We did not get any sealed envelope with the medical results. Is that what others have experienced? I was hoping to get a copy at the appointment and also have the sealed envelope that is mentioned on the USCIS website to take with us to the appointment. TIA

Regarding Fees: does the MRV fee need to be paid before the interview? How about USCIS Immigrant fee? Is that (USCIS Immigrant fee) the fee we've already paid via I-130?

Ok I figured it must be Canada when you said Purolator. We are going to to that route too. Our interview is on a Friday as well. Hoping to have passport back by that Thursday.

Same, my wife is going back to work after her maternity leave and had to move to a new apartment last week to be closer to work. We were of course hoping that we'd have news by now and not have to go back to work until she came to the states. Now have to arrange day care for our daughter. Lots of extra stress added to the equation on top of not being together for holidays again this year.

Its nice to have the community to hear where others are at. Our daughter was born in June of last year and she and my wife are in Canada while I'm in Michigan 10 hours away. My daughter has only spent a couple weeks in her home (here in MI) and that was when she was only a couple months old so she really has no idea what her home is like. I have her room all ready for her but for months it has just been an empty room. I was so hopeful that we would spend Christmas together this year, but it is looking unlikely. Maybe we will all get good news next week. Good luck everyone.
