thanks, @pilot787! just one quick question - did you travel after receiving your IL, or while waiting for IL? that's great on the medical part! thank you so much!
-
I had a quick few questions: I have booked travel to the US using my non immigrant visa. 1.can we still travel to the US after we have got our IL? 2.is it advised to do medical before or after travel to the US? or does it not matter when we do it?
-
hi everyone, I also received my interview letter late overnight for July 17th. updated the excel sheet too.
-
thank you so much, @Coco_2023! this is great to know! any idea if we need to take any additional paperwork to the immigrant visa interview or there is additional scrutiny in case we are entering the US after DQ but before the interview?
-
Can we travel to the US on a non-immigrant visa while awaiting our IV interview at Montreal consulate? Would this affect the interview outcome in anyway?
-
did any of the other categories (K, IR, F) get their ILs for June 2023?
-
exactly, makes no sense. it's sad that we don't know what's going on and are back to being in the dark just when we thought things were moving ahead.
-
Isn't this still dependent on the country of birth? it's the combination on state of chargeability and the visa category that decide the visa availability. so, if your priority date is current (for your country and visa category), in which case they have accounted for those who have interviewed/are in AP/have filed I-485, that would mean that visas are available and they can issue them/send out ILs, right?

hi @AgriSiva, can you grant me access to the google sheets? I've just requested access. thank you!

Thanks, @ALC Hopefully, your lawyers hear back soon and you get your IL! 1.Does anyone here know which email ID we should reach out to? is it NVCInquiry@state.gov for NVC, and Montreal-iv-dv@state.gov for Montreal? 2.Any idea what sort of content the email should have since the consular updates still say January 2021, while we have seen cases DQ-ed as of March 2022 getting ILs.
-
Hi @ALC, did your lawyers hear back from Montreal? I am thinking of sending an email as well. Did your lawyers raise a public inquiry form with NVC or email them? I was wondering which email ID we should reach out to (in the case of NVC and Montreal), and what sort of content we should have in there since the consular updates still say January 2021, while we have seen cases DQ-ed as of March 2022 getting ILs. Any help on this would be great

@DrJh07, did you reach out to NVC or Montreal consulate since you didn't receive your IL this time and the previous month?
-
aren't the interviews scheduled based on a first in-first out on DQ date basis though? and they have scheduled EB3 cases as well from Feb 2022/Mar 2022. They've skipped rest of Aug 2021 until Jan 2022 (based on what we are seeing in this forum).
-
Congratulations, @msccccccc! This is great news! Hoping the rest for whom DQ is before Mar 2022 receive their IL in the coming week. I believe it'll be the same (or similar) letter that was submitted to NVC, which would include the position you will be joining in the US with your employer. It should be dated within a month of your interview date, if I'm right.

Thank you, @Chancy I understand. yes, so for ages 18 - 64, we would need proof for the following: Hepatitis B (only till 59 years of age) Covid-19 MMR TDAP Varicella Flu shot (only required if medicals are being done during flu season)

Thank you so much, @3LabMom! This is really helpful!

@ACC24, sorry to trouble you again. Based on Dr. Cheema's website (https://www.drgulzarcheema.com/index-3.html), "IMPORTANT NOTE: The vaccines that each applicant requires is based on the age of each applicant. Please ensure that you understand that the vaccine LIST you received encompasses ALL the vaccines required to enter the United States from birth to 65 years and older. In order to determine what YOU need to immunized for, depends on YOUR age /age group as listed in this attachment. For example: if you are between the ages 27-49, then you ONLY need to be immunized for TDAP, MMR(measles, mumps and rubella), Varicella (not needed if you had chicken pox) and the Flu Shot (only when in season Oct- Feb, annually)" If one is between the age group of 27-49, then do we need to show proof of all vaccinations that come before that age group as well, or do we only need to show proof for TDAP, MMR, Varicella and Flu shot (during flu season)? If one is in that age group (27-49), do we only need to get immunized for TDAP, MMR, Varicella and Flu shot (in case we aren't vaccinated) even if we haven't been immunized for, as an example, Hep A (which shows up under age group 12-23 months)? Thank you

thank you so much, @ACC24! I shall check and confirm on that.
-
thank you so much, @ACC24 this is really great information! given the time to get a family doctor now is taking forever, knowing that walk-in clinics are able to provide an antibody titer test is great. Would doing this test in walk-in clinics also be covered via OHIP?
-
does anyone have any information on any of this? it would really be helpful thanks.
-
Hi everyone! I wanted to check with you all about the antibody titer test for vaccination proof. 1. does one need a family doctor for getting an antibody titer test done, or are there any walk in clinics where we can get this done? 2. any suggestions on where one can get the antibody titer test done in downtown Toronto? 3. how much does it cost to get this done per person?
-
Thank you, @DrJh07 This is really helpful to know!
-
ah, got it, so it's very much dependent on the specific situation. Thank you, @DrJh07 did she get her non immigrant visa stamped/approved in Canada while waiting for the IV interview?
-
Has anyone without NEXUS in this forum applied for B or H4 visa while awaiting their IV interview?
-
Thanks, @ALC Good to know we can enter the US on non immigrant visa even though we are awaiting IV here. I think dependent visa is quicker at the moment. I'll try that and see. Will check B visa after that. Hopefully, it works out!
