Hey all, if anyone is joining a March 2023 NOA2 to NVC to EMBASSY WhatsApp group, I created one and you can join using this link - https://chat.whatsapp.com/K4hyPhEWRkMILn0BVDyxKe I figured having a support group with more frequent updates and discussions might help some members. I'll still be posting in this thread, but only for major updates, to avoid clutter. Everything else (NVC inquiries, small updates, etc.) will be in the WhatsApp group chat.

That's so crazy! On the NOA2 I-797 form it says "The above petition has been approved. We have sent the original visa petition to the Department of State National Visa Center (NVC), 32 Rochester Avenue, Portsmouth, NH 03801-2909. The USCIS has completed all action; further inquiries should be directed to the NVC." Why wouldn't they have sent it out by name? So frustrating
-
Totally understand your frustration. My NOA2 was March 16th, its been almost 60 days for us and we've sent 4 inquires and we get the same responses you're getting. After 60 days, I'm going to keep inquiring every week until they give me an update. I'll keep everyone posted when we get NVC Received status.

If it' been 60 days, try this: Email NVCResearch at : NVCResearch@state.gov In the body of the e-mail put down Beneficiary's Name Beneficiary's Date of Birth Petitioner's Name Petitioner's Date of Birth Write down your question. In this case, tell them it's been over 60 days and you want them to research where you petition is and/if they received it. Attach your NOA2 notice I've heard some people have success with this, but it's worth a shot while you're patiently waiting
-
I sent my fourth inquiry yesterday and they sent me the same following response: My NOA2 was March 16, 2023. So based on this we have to wait at least 60 days before they can do anything (investigation, support, etc). I'll post a follow up in about 12 days (when it hits the 60 mark) or earlier if I hear anything form NVC receiving the petition or creating the case. I'll just keep patiently waiting

I sent an inquiry on 3/20/23 (NOA2 3/17) and the NVC said the following: '"To Whom it Concerns: Thank you for your inquiry. Our records do not show that we received your petition. It can take up to six weeks for an approved petition from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to arrive at the National Visa Center (NVC). Once we receive it, we will enter your petition into the U.S. Department of State's database systems." So based on this response, they told me to wait until April 28th for NVC to create a case number.

I think the processing time is 45 days right now (according to VJ statistics for NOA2 to NVC). It looks like both you and me (NOA2 3/17) still have another 2 weeks or so to wait. I'll post here as soon as I get my case number. But everyone should be patient and wait about 4-6 weeks from their NOA2 before they start to worry
-
Update: I reached out to NVC yesterday about the transfer request and attached the Turkish Residency documents. They responded to me today and said that they have to wait for my approved petition to be received before they can start a transfer request. I was told to wait another couple of weeks based off of NVC timelines, so I will reach out again around April 5th and give everyone an update.

@Aleksis You're correct, I used a firm and I had the same question. Here is what they said: "Note that the approval notice from USCIS is only valid for four months for Form 129-F, even though the government will keep your case open for up to 12 months as long as you’re pursuing the visa. However, the I-130 doesn’t expire but can be revoked under certain circumstances." @Pangoleen You have nothing to worry about as most cases will be sent to the interview stage within this time frame. Best of luck to everyone

The next steps are to wait and do nothing else (unless you have special circumstances). You don’t have to use Public Inquiry unless you need to change your embassy location or need to make changes. What’s happening now your approval petition will be sent to NVC and they will assign you a case number. From there you have to you’ll receive a case number. And then it’ll move to the embassy that’s designated to your fiancé. Now you can fill out DS-160 Online Nonimmigrant Application.

I haven't reached out yet, planning to do it in the next fews (we just got NOA2 approval online 3 days ago, so waiting a few days). We will be doing so via the public inquiry form. Did NVC receive your case already and provide you with a case number?

Hey there, luckily my fiancee was able to renew her Turkish Residence permit, its valid until 2024. Thank you for asking

Update: We finally got our NOA2!! Taking Chancy's advice and I will wait 7 days or so and send a request to the NVC to assign the case to Ankara. I'll make sure to attach a scan of my fiancee's resident permit with an explanation that she has been living in Turkey since December 2021. I'll keep everyone posted with an update.
