  1. I think you'll get your case number next week. My petition was shipped on May 12th, and NVC got it on May 15th. From there, it took 2 weeks to get a case number (May 30th). So based on that timeline I would say it will be 2 weeks from May 28th-30th ( so around June 14th).
  2. Update: After 75 days of initially contacting NVC, they finally got my case number and they updated it to Ankara, Turkey! So I successfully transferred the case to Ankara and we are waiting for NVC to ship it out to the Embassy. Thank you everyone for all the help!
  3. I called them and they told me when they shipped it. You can call them too - Call them at (800) 375-5283, when it asks what do you need help with, say "infopass" , this will get you to a live agent. Ask them to see if/when they shipped your petition to NVC
  4. Yeah I sent them 2 inquiries since they received my case ( 7 days after and 14 days after receiving date)
  5. Finally some great news after 75 days! (NOA2 March 17, 2023). I received my case number today from NVC and they are updating the Embassy Location per our request to Ankara, Turkey (my fiancee is Russian, but a Turkish Resident). I'll keep everyone posted on the journey to getting it sent to Ankara and getting an appointment and interview. I'm praying everyone gets their case number soon as well (hopefully by 90 days).
  6. Your mileage may vary. I've heard this response for some people and some people were told when their petition was shipped out. Our NOA2 dates are almost the same, so I'd suggest you try again in a few days and get a different agent. Worse case scenario, its only a few more weeks until the 90 day mark. Its really annoying, but unfortunately both USCIS and NVC are really backlogged and this is causing delays for so many people
  7. Yeah, but I haven't gotten my case created yet, since its only been 9 days. So I should get it in about 10 or so days. I'll post again once I get the case number and update my signature. Yeah it took exactly 60 days for NVC to receive by petition from USCIS. Some people unfortunately have to wait up to 90 days from what I'm hearing. Its annoying, but at least almost everyone who got NOA2 in March 2023 should have their case in June.
  8. Finally received an update. NVC said that they received my approved petition on May 15th, 2023 and its in the process of being assigned a case number. Based on the latest processing times from NVC, the case creation takes about 19 days. So I should have the case number the first week of June, hopefully. Hopefully everyone starts getting positive news from NVC soon!
  9. Congratulations to all the new NVC cases! looks like we are finally getting some progress. I'm suspecting most, if not all will have a case number over the next 2 weeks
  10. We are Turkish Residents, but my wife is Russian. Should I transfer to Ankara or Almaty in your opinion? Currently its going to be going to Warsaw, but we will be eligible to transfer to Ankara, although I'm on the fence if we should transfer it to Turkey or not because of all the issues I've heard about the Ankara embassy
  11. To check if your petition has been shipped to NVC yet, you can contact USCIS via telephone. Call them at (800) 375-5283, when it asks what do you need help with, say "infopass" , this will get you to a live agent.
  12. Congratulations on your visa journey! I wanted to ask if you needed an apostille for the Russian birth certificate when you did your interview. My fiance has her original birth certificate and we wanted to know if the US Embassy will accept it without an apostille? (we'll bring a notarized translation)
  13. My fiance has been living in Turkey for 2 years and she qualifies for a transfer because she's a resident. Also, because she's Russian, she'd have to obtaim a Schengen visa and enter into Europe and then enter in Warsaw. Choosing Ankara would save us money and time (hopefully).
  14. There's no exact date, but its supposed to be between 30-90 days, based on current time frames. The best way to see if they shipped it, is to call USCIS directly.
  15. Okay that's good to know. I just know its very difficult to get an appointment scheduled because Ankara's scheduling system is poorly designed and you have to check every day to get a slot But more than likely, we'll stick to the plan and do Ankara because we live there currently and the embassy is right down the road.
  16. Congratulations! Do you know if YesilKart has any information on wait times for K1 applicants? We are considering transferring our case from Warsaw, Poland to Ankara
  17. Yikes...I'm considering not transferring our case to Ankara because of this reason. I've heard from several people that you have to check the website multiple times throughout the day. Usually the beginning of the month and middle of the month is the best time to check. Ankara has a ton of backlog and people have been waiting for over 3 months with the same issue. Keep trying and trying, unfortunately I'm not sure there's anything else you can do
  18. I have a Russian fiance' (she has a Turkish Resident Permit for 2 years now). NVC is about to create our case. I heard horribly backlog stories about Ankara, so we are thinking about moving our case to Almaty, KZ or Belgrade, Serbia if possible. I'll keep you all posted if either accepts us. Otherwise, we are either stuck with Warsaw, Poland or Ankara. Not sure which one has a larger backlog
  19. Wow....thats rather strange. Never heard of this until its actually sent to the Embassy. So I guess that's good news for you I sent another inquiry asking for the case number is so you can start tracking it. Keep us posted with any updates you get
  20. Congratulations! @Silky It varies, but most Embassies receive your case within 30-60 days after NVC assigns you a case number (based on what I've heard recently). Hang in there. We've been country hopping for the past 1 year and it gets very stressful at times. But we stay strong and know that it will all be worth it in the end. As others have said, you and I should count our blessings because we are with our loved one. Most couples are separated for extended periods of time, so we are lucky.
  21. Yeah they will. Since my fiancee is a Turkish resident for 2 years now, she qualifies. They told me to send the residence cards to NVC once I have a case number and they can transfer the case.
  22. Does anyone know the current wait time to schedule a K1 visa interview for Ankara, Turkey? NVC is about to create a case number for us. We originally designated Warsaw as our embassy location (Russian fiance). We decided to transfer to Ankara because my fiance is a resident there and it qualifies for a transfer. I've been hearing Almaty, Kazakhstan is accepting Russian K1 visa transfers, so I wanted to see which one is a better route to go based on Interview Scheduling waiting times.
  23. Congratulations! I wanted to confirm with you if you got your case # as well when they said they received or petition? Or did they just receive your petition and are still creating a case #?
  24. Yeah this is the same response most of us are getting. More than likely, your petition is still at USCIS and its about to ship or just shipped out to NVC. Give it another 2-3 weeks and you'll have a case number hopefully
  25. Everyone, I finally got some "goodish" news. I spoke to USCIS today and they told me that they just shipped out my application on May 12, 2023 and it should be arriving to NVC this week! They informed that shipping times is up to 60 days now (I know, crazy!). If you want to put your mind at ease and not keep e-mailing NVC as many times as I have, here's the best method to get in touch with them: (800) 375-5283, when it asks what do you need help with, say "infopass" , this will get you to a live agent Then tell them your receipt number, name, date of birth and ask if they can give you an update if its been shipped or not to NVC Either its been shipped (good news) or hasn't been shipped (sad news), either way, you'll have a better understanding as to where your petition is and why you aren't getting any updates from NVC. I hope this helps. Best of luck to everyone
