  1. Hi everyone! I am a prospective October filer, from K1 to AOS. We are filling out the I-485 form at the moment but we are stuck in these questions. Would appreciate your help! Part 2 Question 2 "Receipt number of underlying petition": Is this the I-129F WAC number? Part 2 Question 3 "Priority date from underlying petition": Am I supposed to put here the NOA-1 date or NOA-2 date? Part 3 Question 1 "Have you ever applied for an immigrant visa to obtain permanent resident status at a US Embassy or US Consulate abroad": Is this a Yes or No? The K1 visa is technically non-immigrant but treated like an immigrant visa, so we were confused. Thank you!

  3. That's pretty good advice, thanks! I'll just stay in unpaid leave and expedite my EAD then.
  4. I am a K1 beneficiary and I currently work for an international company in my home country. My company also has branches in the US. They would like to continue employing me in the US and offered to put me on unpaid leave until I get my EAD. Would this be a problem? I do not want to look like I'm working until getting my EAD. To note, I'll stop working on September 1st and fly to the US on the 3rd.
  5. How‘s interview slot hunting going for you guys? My embassy is Ankara and it’s impossible to find an interview date these days… So sad 🥲
  6. Thanks @Bh_sarah I remember reading this somewhere but my embassy doesnt mention it specifically. I might try to contact them about it, to be on the safe side.
  7. I lived in the US between 2018 and 2020. Do I need to obtain police certificate for the embassy interview?
  8. We got approved on the 24th and the status changed in the morning of 25th (central US time)! NOA1 was December 22, 2021. Thanks everyone for the data work, the encouragement, and the conversations❤️🌸 Praying that the road ahead will soon get much smoother for all of us 🙏🏻
  9. Same. I wonder if those are concurrent I-129F and I-130 filers (so those who filed for spouse). In that case maybe USCIS just processes the I-130 and don’t bother to look at the I-129F petition? But don’t get anxious, we’ll get approved this week (manifesting hard✨✨✨✨)
  10. This is so depressing. My heart hurts. I think everyone should contact their senator immediately and let them know about the unfair processing system. We should point out that this is not only about our individual situation but a disturbing trend to make USCIS metrics appear better.
  11. Hi @grumpypiggyso happy for you! Thanks for all the updates so far, and best wishes for your upcoming wedding! We can continue checking @Obllak's amazing spreadsheet and @mw & rg k1 great insights until we get our approvals (hopefully we will all have our approvals soon and won't have to check for long...)
  12. The processing times reflect the data from the past 6 months. So it’s retrospective, not a projection into the future. They have been processing significantly more cases lately (enough to reduce the backlog) so probably the next update will be a decrease in number. That being said, it means that we, those left behind, will have to wait an additional whole month to be able to make an inquiry. That is very unfortunate.
  13. Can you please help out the officer who has Dec 21-22 cases. We’re not getting any love here 😑 Seriously this is so depressing though. But we’ll prevail y’all, we’re closer to the finish line💪🏻
  14. Congrats!!! I hope the rest of us get speedy approvals too!
  15. I think in his case, the status changed to “Request for Additional Evidence is received.”
