  1. Thanks! That’s the way we understood it too. Hopefully her renewal will be smooth sailing.
  2. Exactly this. It’s worth a little road trip to be sure it’s correct.
  3. Not officially but she’s also not been back in 2.5 years so it’s dual purpose. She’s also concerned cus she used to do passport pictures at her work in Canada and knows how often they have issues so didn’t wanna do pictures here and hope.
  4. Yeah we have to go on a Friday due to work/school so we will just be having it shipped back to the states. If I wasn’t in school full time we could go sooner but I also just had major surgery so I missed the first two weeks I can’t miss more lol
  5. Yes. The passport will stay for renewed. And awesome. I just needed reassurance before we drive 5 hours l
  6. Not sure where to put this one. My spouse is Canadian and got her greencard in Nov 2024. Her Passport is expiring so we are planning to make a run at the border next week to do pictures and the renewal but it won’t be same day. So when reentering the US ( land crossing) she will only have her greencard. I know this shouldn’t be an issue but just need some reassurance.
  7. I’m in Mass. my wife didn’t have to take a test to get her mass lic. She had to get a driving abstract from Nova Scotia and with that they ‘transferred’ her lic. Each state has different rules and some countries are much easier to get ‘transfer’.
  8. As per the other topic you posted. Yes you can but he is not eligible to adjust status from that visa so marry away but it does not protect him from anything immigration wise and being in the country illegally.
  9. We had 16 months virtual before we met and I included exactly zero pieces of evidence of this. No phone logs no emails or chat screenshots etc. that said we had 4 visits of 2or so weeks plus three border town weekend meet ups in before we even filed. The length varied but the time spent together was much more important for proof.
  10. I concur in reference to the provincial health. My spouse is also Canadian and she lost her provincial health coverage. Her AP even expedite requested took 9 months from filing to receiving.
  11. ours was 21 months from filing the 485.
  12. After 832 days since filing the 130 and 630 days since we switched from consular to adjustment and the 130 was approved yesterday and 485 today without an interview.. on my wife’s birthday! It took much longer than we wanted but oh well. We’ve been married 2.5 years so here’s to skipping removing conditions !
  13. Then it will take longer. She’s their step mother so I would think your relationship would last long enough to petition them? Longer one would hope.
  14. as I told you on the other forum each kid will need a 130.
