and in some cases, after making people wait for years, then USCIS sends an RFE to prove that the marriage is still going on. In our case having to prove the relationship for the fiance visa, with the first interview at the embassy, preparing hundreds of pages of evidence for the 485 nerve-wracking interview, countless of sleepless nights, thousands of dollars spent, hundred of pages more of evidence for the 751, and 2 years later, still no definitive answer. at this point not sure if applying for the N400 is better than keeping on waiting.

We did in November 22 in Ottawa. There are many groups in Facebook that you can find that discuss this issue. -

Well, our two year anniversary passed and still waiting.... -
Thank you for your analysis. We have been thinking about applying for citizenship, but at this point I guess it is better just to wait out the I751. If by February we still have not heard back we will send the N400. Next year is an electoral year and in the past they have expedited cases (don't know if that will happen with the current situation).

I-751 Affidavit Letters of Support
Rafagus replied to Nelly_M's topic in Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion
The instructions do say to include affidavits, so, I would write them in English and have the parents sign them, and wouldn't bother with the translation. -

Remove Conditions after Naturalization
Rafagus replied to zachp's topic in Military Immigration-Related Discussion
The only weird thing is that if you have a conditional green card, and the green card is about to expire, then you don't have the required three years of LPR status (if you're married to a US citizen) to be able to naturalize. I would think she had a 10 year green card and USCIS made a mistake.
