  1. Case has been DQ'd. NVC sent an email on Jan 9 stating that our case had been expedited to US Embassy Manila. We did not request an expedite. On Jan 26, we received an email from MNL which was garbled and unreadable. It may have containing vital info regarding the process, but we'll never know. I'm just looking for a means of contacting the embassy that is current and valid. Or some other way to resolve this issue and establish comms with the embassy.
  2. The Salesforce website used by US Embassy Manila has us locked out because of a bad password issue. I have tried 3 times, it says each time that an password email was sent, but no email. I cannot see what's going on with the interview, and I need to communicate with someone in Manila because we have no idea what's going on. On Jan 26, we received what may have been a welcome letter email, which was garbled and electronically trashed, so we don't know what instructions they may have sent us. I have used the online contact form 4 times to get this issue resolved. The first attempt yielded a resend of the exact same garbled email. The next 3 attempts yielded dead air. We are in the dark and unable to find a pulse in Manila. Anyone have a recent and valid email address or phone number? Thanks.
  3. That's the Welcome letter from the NVC when the I-130 is approved. We we're DQ'd 10/22/22. Thanks
  4. DQ 10/22/22. The email was from USEM.
  5. Your status is not clear to me, so it's impossible to reply. What is "waiting for interview for permanent residence" ? Are you in the US on a spousal visa and waiting for delivery of your green card? Are you in the US on some other kind of visa and you have applied for a green card? Some specifics would help folks understand better.
  6. That's what I'm thinking, the welcome letter, but no appointment set. I went on CGI.Federal and tried to schedule her appoint last night. After filling everything out, it stopped us, stating her Case Number was not on file, or words to that effect. If we don't hear anything, I'll go back in a week, and try to schedule again. I was surprised I didn't receive that email. Is that only the NVC that sends everything to both?

  8. We were notified on Jan 9 by NVC that our (unrequested) expedite request was approved by USEM. We didn't do that, so it appears they are issuing them to folks who have been in the system too long. Our priority date is 10/03/2021. hope this helps.
  9. Good Afternoon Sports Fans. Aiza, my wife, received this email about 30 minutes ago. Is this the "Welcome Letter?" We haven't been able to ungarble the mess. What should we do? Thanks in advance. Dave and Aiza Attachment removed by VJ Moderation
  10. No schedule yet. They seem to be all over the place with the timing. From 30 days to 6 or 8 months. I'll post when it happens.
  11. We are tip toeing along the same line as you. We applied at NVC on Mar 3, 2022. Got DQ'd on Oct 22, 2022. Just got an "out of nowhere" Expedite request approved email from NVC on Jan 9, 2023. We never asked for an expedite and would actually prefer her interview to be after April 15, so we can delay travel until after our 2nd wedding anniversary. I'll let you know what we hear.
  12. Where does that one year rule come from, and what constitutes the termination of the year? We filed at NVC in March 2022. We're not in a hurry and would prefer an interview in April 2023, so that we can go to the US in late September 2023, after our second anniversary. We just got an unrequested expedite and our case went to Manila January 9. Does having an interview scheduled stop the one year clock you mentioned, or must the interview actually be conducted? Thanks.
  13. We never requested an expedite, but got this email on the 9th: Dear [edited], The U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in MANILA, PHIL approved your request for expedited processing of your immigrant visa application. The National Visa Center sent your immigrant visa application to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in MANILA, PHIL for their action. The Embassy/Consulate General will contact you soon to schedule a visa interview. We're not the only ones who got the mystery expedite.
  14. Hello. I did a search on VJ for this and couldn't find anything on point so....We.Paid the IV fee on March 22, 2022. Interview is not yet scheduled and case just left the NVC for Manila Embassy on January 9. We're not in a hurry, but if the fee does really expire, can I just pay it again or what do we do? Hoping someone's got an answer for this. Thanks
  15. It contains the correct case number. It's from US Dept of State, not USEmbassy MNL.
  16. We got an email today: "The U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in MANILA, PHIL approved your request for expedited processing of your immigrant visa application. The National Visa Center sent your immigrant visa application to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in MANILA, PHIL for their action. The Embassy/Consulate General will contact you soon to schedule a visa interview." We never requested an expedite, and we're really not in a hurry. How does this happen?
  17. You wouldn't see them unless you were analyzing their timelines daily. There well may be many of them, and the way the costs are spiraling it may increase.
  18. Maybe the intent of the large increase in fees is to permit them to staff up so that they can get the processing done within the timeframe they used to do it in. Just a thought.
  19. I believe you can set up a FB Messenger account without a Facebook account. Google it.
  20. I have been monitoring the timeline postings for the Philippines, and there have been no IR-1, CR -1 visa interviews posted since Nov 13. Has anyone had an interview recently? I am trying to determine the length of the delay between DQ and interview for NON- EXPEDITED cases. I don't want to expedite, just to know the current timing. Thanks in advance.
  21. Not carved in stone. I was married to a Filipina in 2006 in the US by K-1 visa. When I met her she was married to a Filipino, in a Philippines civil wedding, and had been abandoned by her spouse who went to the US by his mother's Dual citizenship. She (we) divorced him in a Texas court using his residency there as basis of jurisdiction. She then got a Philippines passport in her maiden name, went through the K-1 process without issue, and came to the US. We married. She Got her US citizenship 3 years later, and got a US passport. Then she went to the Philippine Embassy and got dual citizenship, and then a Philippine passport in her new married name. Never say never.
  22. The airlines are more stressed than they have ever been, and they are not dealing with it very well. You might want to rethink the concept of not caring if a flight is cancelled. With kids or without, if you have multiple carriers on a journey and earlier one is late or cancels, unless you bought fully refundable tickets, you don't have a leg to stand on to get your money back from the flight you missed. If you have that kind of money to throw around and you don't care about what happens to it, I'll give you my Paypal account and you can give it to me.
  23. If you do that and airline A is late, and you miss your connection on Airline B, it's 100% your problem. It's better to spend a bit more and fly one carrier the whole trip. You can split airlines coming and going, but its risky having more than one carrier on the same leg.
