Never did.

Hello everyone! Just wanted to give a quick update. We crossed 10 days ago. Activating the visa was easy, took maybe 30 min in total. The only issue we had was importing one of the vehicles. The vehicle was manufactured in Mexico, but we bought in Canada (had no idea!). The officer wanted to charge us to import it. After a very long and drawn out conversation, we decided to wait and do it once we arrived in Arizona. Spoke to CBP here, brought it to their location and imported it without any fees. We have found a house and are hoping to be all settled in by early July. Now we wait for the green card and SS cards to arrive. Hope the process moves along for everyone sooner rather than later.

@Ava1 Instructions were sent back with our passports. Just paid the fees online, really easy. They sent us envelopes to bring to the POE, I thought it was all digital now.

On CEAC, check the "Case Last Updated" - The date changed the day the clinic told me they had send the report to the consulate. https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=IV. I only saw two date changes before our interview. The second was about 4 days before the interview.

Congratulations! I bet you are feeling a sense of relief now that the long wait is finally over. Hope you got to enjoy a bit of Montreal. I assume the instructions come when they return the passport as I was hoping to pay for this straight away to avoid delay there too. I will know tomorrow I guess.

E-mail received just now!! Now I can relax a bit.
-
No e-mail yet. CEAC still says issued and other site is showing "appointment" still. I hope it isn't too much longer.
-
@ACC24 - Did the site that you registered your interview at ever change from this: CEAC was updated again today. Still showing "Issued". Of course I am anxious as we are hoping to leave in 13 days.

It's just more time spent waiting unnecessarily in my opinion.

I would just have yours re-done if you can to avoid the RFE. I can't see it taking 6.5 weeks plus.

Ours was changed to Issued by the time we go back to the hotel, which was all of 15 min at most. Hopefully we receive our tacking # tonight or Monday. E-mailed and mailed.

By chance does anyone know how long it is taking to get the notification that your passport is being returned via Purolator?
-
Nope, I did have the copies in my I-140 though. I don't think they are really looking at the merits of your case at this point, instead making sure you aren't a threat to national security, you have a plan for housing, you have a plan for work, and you are who you say you are type thing.

Agreed @mam521!! I also think it shows them how serious you are about the process and respect their time. We are going to keep the documents as is and update prior to naturalization to avoid having to track down everything again. Thank you. We are hoping to head south in two weeks...ambitious I'm sure, but we just want to get settled.

@Coco_2023 Thanks! We were DQ July 2021.

Thanks @newbie75 They did not ask about our travel history at all. We did hear them asking the fellow next to us about his travel history though. I did carry a travel history document (I had a 5 year and a 15 year ready). Here is a list of what I brought with me: I-140 Petition Response to RFE Previous Immigration File (Did a FOIA request as I was previously a green card holder as a minor) Photocopies of all original docs (was only asked for copy of new passport) Cancelled Passport that I had used on DS260 All original documents submitted to NVC (We provided updated police checks as the documentation provided says it expires after 1 year and I wasn't going to take a chance with ours that were two years old in May). Last three years of tax returns for both my husband and I Letter from company I do contract work for saying they plan to continue to utilize my services once I move to US Current Work Orders Mortgage Pre-Approval Resume for both of us 2 passport style photos for each of us Interview Letter Appointment Registration Confirmation NVC Invoice IV Payment Fee Confirmation DS260 for both of us Proof of payment for 5 year travel history 15 year travel history I had everything broken down into different file folders with tabs for easy reference. I know this is probably way too much stuff to bring, but I wanted to be overprepared and have anything they could possibly ask for. Hope this helps.

We had our interview in Montreal today for EB-1. It was approved and CEAC is showing "Issued." They asked very few questions, most of the time was spent providing original documents and finger prints. Our questions were what I intended to do for work/was I going to just find a job once I approved, if either of us had previously been married, had either of us ever lived outside of Canada and where we planned on living once we arrived in the US. There were no issues updating our address or passport. We were in and out in under an hour.

Thanks @Ava1! I am just going to give it to them straight away. I'm sure by now they have figured out the changes as the medical folks took my new passport and new address.
-
I had an address change and a new passport. I made an errata sheet to bring with me and also printed the DS260 and changed made the changes on there as well. It seems impossible to get them to let you update the DS260. Guess I'll find out next week if this is sufficient.

We had our medical on Friday at Dr. Cheema's office. The system is down, so they have been unable to submit the reports to the consulate. Anyone else experiencing this? We have 15 days, so I imagine we will be alright but still a little anxious.
-
Can you try at an airport near you that has a POE to avoid the drive?
-
Do you know why they asked you to re submit it?
-
We only need to show proof of the vaccinations appropriate for the age group we are in, not any of the ones required in prior age groups.

Not entirely the same situation...my passport did not have 6 months left, so I renewed it. I did register with my old passport information. I spoke to the consulate about this and they advised me to send an e-mail to canada.visas@gdit-gss.com with a copy of my old passport and new passport to avoid any delays.
