  1. My husband has a criminal record in Mexico city but the crime happened over 10 years ago. The government building he reported to is no longer there. He wants to just have his fingerprints run to get his criminal record. Can someone recommend a place for him to go to have his fingerprints run in Mexico City? Or recommend an attorney in Mexico City to help him get this done? Thanks
  2. Right. 800 days from when I filed the i130. But 10 months from when we DQ'd.
  3. Wow. Ok, something to be prepared for. Thanks
  4. Finally got our interview date. Reading past reviews for the Juarez embassy, looks like they broke up the interview in 2 days. Is this still happening? Or is everything one day? Also, we need airbnb or hotel recommendations. Thanks
  5. ***CRIMINAL RECORD/NEED ADVICE*** My husband was arrested in Mexico City 10 years ago. I do not see any instructions for beneficiaries with a criminal record, only instruction for obtaining a certificate of no penales. But what if you have been arrested??? What documents does he need to have with him at the interview??? We were DQ'd by NVC in January 2023. By the looks of everyone else's wait time, he may get an interview in january 2024. Anyone's spouse have a criminal record??? What did they need to bring to the interview???? Thanks
  6. Hi, our cr1 was approved in January. Heard it's a 15 month wait, from this point, for an interview. So hopefully 2024 will be our year.
  7. Omg! Unbelievable. That's so long!!!!! How long did it take for you to receive notice of the interview date and then what was the time period between notice of the interview date and the interview itself?
  8. We were DQ'd a few days ago. How long did it take for notice of your interview date? Also, we're assigned to Juarez even though my husband lives in Mexico City. Strange and highly inconvenient. Do i request a medical exam? Do i request an interview date? Thanks
  9. I don't see much about the beneficiary's criminal history being subject to review ... but here's my question : 11 years ago my beneficiary (Mexico city) was found guilty of simple possession of marijuana (27 grams). He did no jail time and had probation for 2 years thereafter and attended classes for drug use as part of his sentence. 1. Will this be an issue for him at any stage of this process? 2. Does he need to obtain documentation regarding his criminal history? 3. Is the beneficiary's criminal history a concern? 4. Will he be asked if he has a criminal history at the interview? Thanks
