  1. I'm not a lawyer I can't give legal advice, but in the top post it says "deferred adjudication" so if the terms of that court agreement is met there is no offense charged or convicted. You can do a background search to see the history you need to present in most states for a small fee, I think Oklahoma is here: https://chirp.osbi.ok.gov/ Good luck!
  2. For those arriving now or soon make sure to check the VJ process here: We were overjoyed to be together again but the process doesn't stop. Get an SSN, driver permit, marriage license, and health insurance as soon as you can. She got her SSN today, we applied 2 weeks after arrival as recommended here: Good luck everyone!
  3. These are good first steps if you are wanting to do it fast! You can still pick dates after you pick your first one I would check daily for an open slot to improve your March date (you are not stuck to that date). A lot of the contradicting information is because different embassies handle things differently. Oh and when you have your medical we got ours in hand to take to the embassy with a CD and file but another filer from this group said they could not have it and the hospital would send it directly to the embassy in Sweden so don't be alarmed if that is different.
  4. Every embassy is different, ours was Manilla for reference. The way we got it done so quickly is we immediately filed ds160 as soon as we had "In Transit", then when we got "Ready" we paid and started looking for dates and scheduled medical (which only required the ds160 receipt page). At the Manilla embassy they only release new dates on certain days and it's first come first serve so it doesn't matter what order your received your ready status, but they do lock out for 24 hours if you check more than three times a day (not sure if this is specific to ours). So she paid and checked 3 times a day and found a date quickly (someone else canceled an interview appointment) about 3 days after we received "Ready" status which was for two weeks away. She had not completed medical yet so she completed it while waiting for interview. Good luck!
  5. Hmm I understand the confusion here I just went through it a few weeks ago. Let's break it down clearly and correct me if I am wrong. -K1 will only use the ceac website to submit ds160 and check status -You will upload no documents through this system as K1 -You do not need an invoice number as K1 that is only for "immigrant visas" and K1 is treated in that system as "non-immigrant" Other confusions for me was this: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition/step-2-begin-nvc-processing.html They will direct you to this if you dig deep enough and it is for immigrant visas .... NOT K1 You will pay no fees and submit no documents to ceac for K1.
  6. Entry completed 12/30. Super easy at the POE (Chicago) with the embassy packet immigrating from Manilla. Just in time for new years. July 6th 2021 filer. Happy to answer any questions about the process.
  7. The form you are looking for is here. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html Based on your dates you probably have another month or so before the NVC will send you anything.
  8. July 6th 2021 filer. Our interview is complete and approved. Just waiting on the visa in the mail in a week or two. I know everyone here thinks it will never end but it will. I was actually shocked how fast it started moving once the NVC was done. We didn't have any special expedite.
  9. @iwannaplay54 Knows more than me I think you are fine and will probably have the transcript ready before your interview anyways. We used "client copies" of tax filings from our accountant instead of any kind of original for our affidavit.
  10. Not time to panic yet, so you have been married more than two years for your IR-1 to be valid. When is the interview you are worried about scheduled? Do you have joint bank accounts and other history? (you have a tax history while married from the previous year too)
  11. Hmm the forum will be able to help you more if you complete your timeline, what you have filed, filing status and your last communication with USCIS/NVC. You vaguely mention an interview, is this a i129f interview? Is this an adjustment of status interview? More information will help the very knowledgeable people here.
  12. The problem the OP is having is exactly what you posted. Try the http://www.ustraveldocs.com/cu link yourself. The Havana Embassy instruction pages I posted state they are not accepting this type of appointments at this time. According to OP they were aware of that but this has changed and the fact they have an HAV number means that is the embassy they sent their packet to which is "Ready" so they should be able to schedule and pay. If I were in this situation it seems you will need to contact the embassy directly and tell them you have been directed to schedule an interview: Calzada between L & M Streets, Vedado Havana, Cuba Phone: (53)(7) 839-4100
  13. This is a strange one because of the situation with Cuba. https://cu.usembassy.gov/visas/nonimmigrant-visas/ https://cu.usembassy.gov/visas/ Based on the information on these two pages, which for most other consulates will direct you to schedule and pay for the interview, Havana is not giving regular interviews (only emergency ones). As a i129f you will not qualify for that so the direction seems you will need to travel to another US embassy outside of Cuba.
  14. We received the case number after an inquiry and then the in transit email automatically a bit later. From: AskNVC <asknvc@state.gov> Date: Wed, Nov 16, 2022 Subject: RE: Ask NVC - Inquiry Form - WACXXXXXXXX Dear Sir/Madam: The correct case number is MNLXXXXXXX You will be notified once this case is forwarded to the assigned US Embassy/Consulate General. --------------------------------- The in transit email was received from: From: NVC-do-not-reply@state.gov Date: Nov 22, 2022 Subject: The National Visa Center sent your K1 visa petition to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate Dear Sir/Madam: The correspondence attached to this email relates to the I-129F visa petition listed in the subject line. Please read the information in the attachment carefully and follow the instructions. Regards, National Visa Center Written Correspondence Team - 603-334-0700 - ASKNVC@state.gov
  15. As stated above by @powerpuff you are going to file non immigrant ds160 online for K1. No fees are required at this point as you stated. I would encourage input from anyone else on this because our experience very recently was interesting. We had an NVC case number weeks before we received the "in transit" email. We filed our ds160 within hours of getting the "in transit" email and it was approved 3 days later to "ready" status. No actual mail has been received by either of us, only electronic communication. Maybe the differences are because of different embassy's, but it seems like applying the ds160 as soon as you have your NVC case number is the fastest? Our cases are different this isn't advice as much as it is a question.
  16. Do not put 0 income here, put the total from your 1040 as this is your income declaration under "self" as you are the person to receive those benefits with 0 dependents. The form is specific that it is not for the person in section 2. If you write self this is your income.
