  1. Good morning fam! I'd like to ask fellow applicants about their vawa I-485 interview experiences. My lawyer mentioned that the interview typically involves verifying identity (name, address, country of birth, etc.), as well as questions about my spouse (such as her name, birth date, parents' names, dates of divorce and marriage, and our first meeting). Then, the officer might ask some yes/no questions from the I-485 form. Could anyone share the type of questions they were asked during their interview?" Generally, How did the interview go? Thank you all for your help, and support!
  2. I hear you thanks for your suggestion. That is what exactly I do. Uscis & congressional inquiries can not help me from this point because of the security background check process. I485 processing time is 19 months but I have been waiting for 33 months now.
  3. Congrats!! Happy to hear that you got it! I have a really similar issue to yours. I filled 2018 October and I got the I-360 approved in 2020 Dec. I have done several congressional inquiries for I485 and all received the same answers all the time your case is pending and it is in the "security background check ". I am thinking of filing a Mandamus against USCIS. I did not have enough courage to do it tho. How was the Mandamus process? Did you hire a different lawyer? Thank you!!
  4. After explaining my situation to Tier 2, finally I got the infopass appointment. The only available time is tomorrow. I asked Tier 2 what I should bring. The officer said, "bring any notices you received about the case." I wish I have more time to bring an FBI report, police report, or anything about my background report. It has been almost 3 years since my I360 got approved. I485 has been stuck at the background security check since then so I really don't want to ruin this chance. Any suggestions? Thanks fam!
  5. Thanks for the heads up my friend! I did a live chat with the officer. attached a photo of what he said. I asked him if the tier 2 officer has access to the Vava files, and he said they have more access. Do you think the Tier 2 officer can give me any feedback or I just stop pushing and file the Mandamus action?
  6. Another phone call failure I just called the Infopass and they said the same thing. They can not see the file so they want me to send a mail to USCIS Vermont address. I tried to explain my case and pushed the agent to give me a chance to visit but it did not work out. Any suggestion? Should I send a mail to Vermont? I feel they will tell me the same thing they told my congressman. Background security check.
  7. Thank you so much my friend. I will def. try to call infopass to get help and hopefully i can visit the local office. I have been waiting since 2020 for my gc interview. I am afraid it will take another a couple of years.
  8. I tried to do infopass but they could not check my file so they told me that they could not do anything. Yes, I already sent out my background check, but it also did not work. I feel I do not have any choice except to file a Mandamus against USCIS.
  9. I also have the same situation. My VAWA was approved in December 2020. Initially, I had filed for AOS I-130 and later shifted to VAWA. However, I kept my I-485 application. I have done the congressional inquiry about my I-485 through my senator and congressman at least 3 times. Every time I received the same update: "no change in the status" and "in security background check". I am also about to lose hope, and I am seriously considering filing a Mandamus against USCIS.
  10. I did my background check via IdentoGO and sent to USCIS and nothing changed. I heard a writ of mandamus helped a lot of people here.
