Hey, I was just about to send off my Adjustment of Status packet with forms I-485, i-864, I-765 and all supporting documents. However I came across some posts on visa journey that they received RFE over need to provide proof of marital life together? I thought the only thing we needed to send with the packet was a certified marriage certificate and then at the interview they would need more proof? I didn't see anywhere in the instructions to include evidence of marital life Should I be sending more evidence off with the adjustment of status packet? Any knowledge on this would be appreciated. Thank you

Hey, just filling out form I-765 for work authorization. Part 27 asks for eligibility category, is this C9 as I have read? I'm also just out of status which I'm not sure effects applying for work authorization? (i got into a pretty serious accident which delayed us starting AOS). Any advice would be appreciated. I already have a SSN.

Hey, has anyone else had this problem, I'm trying to type in the additional information section however the pdf won't let me write my name or A-number. It won't let me click on them to add text for some reason. However it will let me type in the text boxes below. Would it be ok to just print it out and have that part handwritten?

Hey, I cannot find my Noa2 anywhere, I have the receipt for my Noa2, my Noa1 and the invitation to my interview. I don't think I actually ever received an Noa2 in the post only my invitation for an interview and that I seen it was approved online. Now I'm at applying for adjustment of status and I'm reading conflicting things, I have read some topics that say they were fine without their noa2 and they just sent the approved petition letter etc and some are saying to replace it but this can take months and will cost around $400. Has anyone had any recent experience with this? It seems silly that it asks for it when I have the k1 visa in my passport and an approved status online as well as the invitation letter to my consulate. I have been stressed out trying to find it all day but I am not sure if it ever even came still. Any advice would be appreciated

Hey, I have been in the USA for just over two weeks and read it best to get a SSN now and then marry and go through adjustment of status after. I am going to a SSA in a minute, in the forms it says if I am not allowed to legally work and I need to show proof why I need a SSN if I am not working. I have read sometimes they argue with K1 visa holders as they think we are not eligible. I have downloaded the form that says we are eligible from the guide, but not sure what proof I have to show I need one or how to explain why I need one before we get married? Any advice would be appreciated on what to say whilst there.

Hey sorry I forgot to reply to this post, yeah it's fast and there were a couple cafes around Well we are just having a small one just to legally get married ASAP but then plan on having a wedding in August 2025. And aw I'm just a worrier, I have a trip to Africa booked and was just paranoid about my passport getting lost in Transit on the way to me or getting delayed so felt it would be safer to retrieve it in London where I'm flying from anyway. Collecting it Monday

Hey, has anyone recently had to go pick up their passport from the London based courier? I will need to wait about a week to pick up my passport from there. I'm just a bit worried if their is a time limit or anything to collect it? Anyone who has any knowledge on this would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, I have my interview date soon, does the I-134 form and our reaffirmation letter saying we intend to marry both need to have wet signatures? And do they also have to be originals and not scanned on copies? I have read some people have had no trouble with scanned copies, and others have had no problem with typewritten even. However if they are supposed to be original and a wet signature I would rather be safe Any knowledge would be appreciated, Thank you

Yeah I did not realise how much of a headache it is going to be! I always thought just get this part done, and then worry about the next step. At least we will be together throughout the AOS though. And no I am not sure, she had a good year so I know her most recent tax returns and her current bank account assets will be enough for now as evidence. But like you said it is variable so for the AOS it could be different, though she may be changing jobs come July so maybe that would be good for when we do AOS as well just having a set salary. I feel like to be safe though we do have someone willing to be a joint sponsor, so when the time comes we could always consider that! We will see where we are at I guess when the time comes 😬

Hey, yeah my partner (the petitioner) is well above the poverty guideline so we should be okay, it is only the two of us. I will take the tax forms along with the bank account information signed by an officer though to be safe. If need be when the time comes for permanent residency we can use a co sponsor too which may be a good idea. Thank you for the information, I had not thought much about the adjustment of status process.

Hey, I've spoken to a few people who have just been through the process in London embassy and they said all that they took was last year's tax return. So I'll take that along with my partners balance information too just in case. But all I have spoken to have said I should be fine with just tax returns at the London embassy, apparently they are more relaxed. Thank you though

Okay great thank you! I'll say that to her as well, just a little different as she's a server I feel like the bulk of her salary actually comes from tips so unless maybe the wording could be like salary then plus tips. But I thought I had read previously that the London embassy only care about the tax returns and are pretty relaxed with it all, but then could not find it again anywhere so appreciated seeing this post! And all sounded reassuring and nothing to get too nervous about

Hey thank you so much for this post! With the affidavit of support I have been trying to find out how much evidence my fiancee needs to show for the UK embassy as I thought I had read before they just take one piece. So she is okay to just show her most recent tax returns as evidence with the i134? One other thing we only need our own birth certificate (the beneficiary) and they don't need my fiancee's birth certificate?

Hi, Trying to figure out what evidence my fiancee (the petitioner) needs to show with the affidavit of support? Does she just need to attach her most recent yearly tax returns and upload her bank statement to assets owned as well? This is for the London Embassy as well Any advice would be appreciated, thank you

Hi, any knowledge would be appreciated. We are filling in the affidavit of support with my partner agreeing to financially support me (the beneficiary). I am confused with filling in the below part. For income I will just write $0 as I am leaving my job and will not be working there? And for Asset's for anyone who has filled it in, do we just put our checking account balance for example ? And then attach anything to show the money is there or there or does it not really matter very much? Thank you for any help with this
