  1. I am curious to know how long is the wait time after I-130 gets approved as for my dad this is the case right now. I am not sure if anyone answered me, it not being an option with active GC.
  2. Sorry if I am unable to understand it easily. Actually long ago I have heard a couple of people put back on plane when they spent more than a year overseas. It might be obsolete or a rare case. But I appreciate your help l. Thank you so much.
  3. I understand but the fear of failure stresses me and if I have to fly back with them from Qatar it puts more stress on me (in case they are denied the entry). It would not be easy for me to hide my stress and fear at the airport.
  4. So you mean it's dangerous to land at Dulles Airport too? Any specific reasons?
  5. Would it be possible for them, being Pakistani citizens, to get ticket to travel from Qatar to USA?
  6. Does UAE follow CBP like Qatar? Asking as with Etihad airlines they will be facing the US immigration in the UAE and not here (Washington DC). Which one is the better option?
  7. Thank you so much for the detailed reply. I now have to convince my dad in doing so as he is insisting on moving forward with I-824. So, the first step is to get to Qatar with a return ticket and then get a separate ticket from Qatar to USA and board plane to the US.
  8. Yes it now seems like a big mess. Do I need to backup with an immigration in case of issue at port of entry? Also what about their exiting airport that check their stay outside the US before putt8ng them on plane?
  9. What is form I-824 for? My father was asked to submit it after his new approved I-130. My father is of the opinion to submit a single form I 824 for both of them.
  10. Sb1 rejected due to weak ties/ short stays. And my father mentioned that Pakistan airports check stay outside the USA and don't let you board the plane if it's over a year.
  11. Pretty interesting. Even after sb1 got denied it could be an option?
  12. They went to us embassy in islamabad and they were denied sb1 saying they don't have strong ties with the US. After that my father applied for his visit visa that got denied too.
  13. I don't want my old parents to suffer in case they are denied the entry.
  14. My father during his overseas job wanted to get a visit visa but it was rejected with the reason that as your daughter is a US citizen apply for immigration. I just want to know if I had to submit separate I 130 for each one of them.
  15. My parents had gotten their Green Card through me, at that time my father was almost ending his job in Saudi Arabia so they spent very little time in the US. After that, COVID struck and they couldn't travel to the US. My father tried contacting the US Embassy (now they were in their home country Pakistan) but everything was closed. Once the embassies opened they both visited the US Embassy in Islamabad with their doctor's letter and all proof of previous attempts of correspondence. But the officer denied them entry as they didn't have strong ties with the US. They still have their valid Green Cards. They were asked to re-apply for immigration. We started I-130 and it got approved and now we are asked to submit form I-824 as they are outside the US. Now at this step, we came to know that we received an approval notice for just my father, and upon checking we came to know that we only submitted a single I-130 for my father. Now, before proceeding further I want to make sure we are on the right track and not making any further mistakes. Please guide what should be done. Thanks
