I am having a difficult time with the birth certificates of my wife. There are 4 pages...2 pages in English and 2 in Spanish. I can't reduce the size to get to 2 MB. Can I upload the 4 documents separatelyy? I have compressed them and combined the PDFs. I get an error message that the upload is too large. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.
Any help would be appreciated.
for the applicant
date of birth is March 26, 1982
date of marriage is May 10,2002
error message says the date of marriage must be later than your date of birth..The dates are correct but the error message keeps popping up
I put down the date of birth and date of marriage correctly. I got an error message that said the date of marriage has to be later than the date of birth. All my dates are correct.
Any ideas why I continue to get this message? thanks
I am getting "application error " and can not proceed. I am trying to fill form 260. I live in Colombia with my wife. Approved for a visa after 18 months or so. Now I am battling the form 260. I am at the address page. My wife has 6 addresses in the past. After I completed 2 addresses I get the application error. I have tried different browsers and all the other stuff people have said to do. I have been trying for over a week. Today I got the application error right away . It wouldn't let me fill out any. A few minutes later I was able to fill out 2 of the addresses. That is it.
I wish I could mail all the docs in. But USCIS has a warning that they might lose them if you do. What a horrible federal agency. With the VA and SS you can talk to agents by phone. Maybe I should just omit the next 4 addresses.
Any ideas on what to do?
Thanks jo12208
I get that "application error" several times for 3 days. I have tried different browsers but it keeps on sending me the message. Sometimes I get a message box that says your application will close if you do not enter more data. I click ok and right away it closes the application. Many, many times.
Under step 7 Immigrant Visa Process. Scroll down to Marriage Certificates.
"If you are or have been married, you must obtain original marriage certificates/ or certified copies of EVERY marriage."
So the divorce decree isn't enough?
Under civil documents under Marriage Certificates it says, "If you are or have been married, you must obtain original marriage certificate/ or certified copies of EVERY marriage. Isn't the divorce document enough?
Am I reading the civil documents required correctly when they state the petitioner need to include a certified marriage certificate? Or does this just pertain to the immigrante? Why would you need the marriage certificate if you have a divorce decree and certificate?
I just located her for the first time in over 15 years. I talked to her and she said she has paid social security for more than 10 years. She is a LPR. I was able to contact her through her parents. I was going to answer yes anyway because it was automatically checked on my application. but the way it was worded I was a little confused.
Yes I did sponsor another person 18 years ago. I have no idea if she is a lawful permanent resident or if she is an illegal as the question on Part 5 question 6 asks. She abandoned me within a month. i have no contact or information as to where she lives. I am not sure how to answer because I have no knowledge of her immigration status. Should I answer no? thanks
