  1. I filed my I751 packet last week as my conditional green card is expiring 9/28. My wife and I have a vacation planned and booked in Mexico between 10/2-10/9. I've been seeing a lot of different information on people travelling with expired green cards and their extension notice to enter Mexico without a visa.

My question is: Since I hold a Schengen passport (Hungarian passport) there is no visa required for tourism. Am I correct in understanding that the expired green card + extension notice is not relevant in my case as I am gaining visa free entry through my valid, unexpired passport rather than from being an LPR? The green card and the extension notice would only need to be presented when entering the US. Is this a correct understanding?

  2. Hi,

My fiance and I got married this past week and going to fill out the paperwork for AOS based on a K1 visa.

I'm familiar with the type of documents to file and the additional documents needed but it is unclear how much and what type of evidence regarding the marriage/relationship should be included.

Obviously a certified copy of the marriage license will be submitted. We are going to comingle our finances in the coming weeks, be listed as a beneficiary on health and life insurance. Is it enough to bring these documents to the interview in the future or should we wait with the filing and include them as well?

    Thanks.

  3. Hi,

The embassy in my country sent me the visa application package for a K1 visa. I just want to confirm that I need the following documents for the I134: three years of tax returns, W2s from 2020, recent pay stubs, bank statement, official letter from the company regarding positions and salary. All three years my fiance has made enough money to be above the requirement ($30k, $31k, and now making $37k).

Is there anything else I would need for this document during my interview?
