  1. One of the many things I am most proud of is that I never cared about someone's celebrity status. Even if it is someone has actual talent or a backstory that I could appreciate, I never got into the being a "fan" of that person. The best stories come from the people around you in your everyday life, not from obnoxious morons the media force-feeds you. There are far more interesting people/stories here on VisaJourney.
  2. As long as the receipt number from the NOA1 matches the NOA2 I wouldn't be too concerned about it.
  3. Okay your timeline above is a little confusing. You said you got your approval on December 20th, 2021... Did you mean 2022? You said you received your NOA2 on December 27th or 28th, was that in 2022 just 3 weeks ago? If you meant you got those things in 2022, just a few weeks ago, well you worrying WAY too soon. You should expect to wait a couple of months, not a few weeks.
  4. Geez, who can afford to TP a house or egg a car any more?
  5. $5.19 a dozen here in the Phoenix Arizona area. I work for a national grocery chain and before this last year we regularly had them on sale for around 99 cents a dozen. It's getting so bad here that last month I had customers asking me if they could just buy 2 or 3 eggs instead of a dozen.
  6. Sounds to me like we aren't going to get an update about it arriving/processed at/leaving NVC at all. I am expecting that the next update we are going to get is when our case is at the embassy/consulate.
  7. Could it be that the reason the shooter left the scene and disappeared is because he knew there would be people ready and willing to lock him up and throw away the key because he used a gun? There are those who want to criminalize people who defend themselves with a gun in their own homes, so of course he decided to leave and contact a lawyer, who has since been in a negotiation with police about investigating the incident. It does not matter that it wasn't a real gun, it's extremely difficult to tell in the heat of the moment. The moron wasn't killed by the customer, he was killed by his own stupidity. I've searched and searched and have yet to see the identity of the robber. My guess is this wasn't his first rodeo and it was only a matter of time before his bad behavior caught up with him. Truth be told, society has rubber stamped his bad behavior by even questioning the right of the average citizen to defend themselves.
  8. The first few shots I have no issue with, the last few (and the final shot) were unnecessary. That being said, some idiot just pointed a gun at you, so I can see where adrenaline is going to kick in from a life-threatening situation and cause the customer to take it a little further than he needed to. NONE of this would have happened if the robber hadn't threatened the lives of people in the restaurant. The fault lies entirely on the robber, the customer should not be charged.
  9. When we started ours in July 2021 the processing time was 8 months, it got extended every couple of months and we eventually got our NOA2 after 14.5 months (nearly double the initial estimate). It was brutal to watch the timeline move further away from the original estimate. For every 2 steps forward you took one step back. Hopefully at some point the trend starts going quicker rather than slower for you guys.
  10. Agencies want your money, they will tell you what you want to hear in order to get your business.
  11. What I don't want for Christmas? A tie
  12. I have to compliment you on your English language skills considering English isn't your first language. You speak better than most who have English as their first/only language. Good luck to you.
  13. found this online How To Read An NVC Case Number (thelawdictionary.org) The basic NVC case number consists of 13 alphanumeric characters. The first three places are reserved for alphas (letters) identifying the overseas embassy or consulate that received the original immigrant visa application. Some visas are issued according to quotas set for each country. The next 10 digits of the NVC are numbers that have been coded from the standard Julian calendar. The first four numbers are the year for the application (i.e. 1998). The next three numbers represent the date based on the following formula: Date + 500 (i.e. January 1st would be 001 + 500 = 501). The final number identifies the order of that application for that day (i.e. 4th application = 004.) and this here explains it a little better I think. How to Read an NVC Case Number | Legal Beagle NVC Case Numbers for Immigrants The case number for your immigrant visa is a 13-digit number comprised of four parts. The number displays as EEEYYYYOOOSSS. EEE is related to the U.S. embassy or consulate that will process your visa. For example, if you are arriving from New Delhi, the first three letters would be NWD. YYYY is the year that the case was received by the NVC. The calendar that the NVC runs is from January to December, not the fiscal year of October to September. OOO is the Julian date (ordinal date, plus 500), and SSS is the sequence number for the day.
