Efeturi and I have been together since mid-2018. We filed the first K1 visa application in early 2019 and he had the interview in Lagos in December 2019. It was denied due to lack of evidence of a true relationship. I traveled there 3 times in 2019-April for his birthday, September for mine and again in December for the interview although I was not allowed to go in with him. I applied a 2nd time for a K1 in March 2020 and did not hear anything until July 2021 when I received a letter from USCIS asking for more information. This has been sent and now it is a waiting game again. COVID-19 prevented my traveling there in 2020. We are considering me traveling there within the next couple of months to get married and then file a spousal visa.
