  1. Something strange must be happening at CEAC today. I still dont see any changes in the system for my application.
  2. Wow, congrats. Not to rain on the parade (as its great that you are already seeing some docs Accepted, but did you get a specific message/email saying you are DQ, or you just saw that some of the docs have been Accepted? I thought all need to show this message.
  3. Best of luck and looking forward to a (happy) debrief of how it goes.
  4. Still the same as before, and for reference, no comments or changes on the documents either. Hopefully this all changes this evening... I wonder if they work in batches and 'release' results in that manner, instead of one-by-one?
  5. I still don't have anything more in my file - I expect/hope that by the end of the day my webpage will update either with RFE or DQ... My guess for you will be Thursday review, I don't think they will get all the way through 26th and 27th tomorrow. But you are soon!
  6. That's what I was expecting to see when I logged in. Really strange that I'd get an email ahead of time - do you recall if you got the same email when it was approved?
  7. There isn't any response there, it's all still empty, same as before. Status says "Submitted" and no response note on either AoS or civil. Fastest draw this side of the Mississippi - they thought they could catch me off guard during a work phone call... tsk tsk!
  8. Nope, that's what is so weird! I checked this morning about 9am, and it's all the same as then...
  9. Mah gawwwd just getting a random email from NVC: I just logged in and nothing is different - no new message, no change in document status on either AoS and civil documents (all just show 'Submitted'.) Did I log in too quickly? Does this email just mean that they are reviewing the file and I can expect an update later?
  10. Hoping that I get reviewed today. Will update if anything comes through but right now nothing...
  11. Best as I understand: He won't need any additional vaccination or proof of test to travel to the interview in Europe. That said, typically people traveling to the US actually do need a vaccination, except for immigrants. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/proof-of-vaccination.html "The Presidential Proclamation and CDC’s Amended Order do not apply to immigrants (including Special Immigrant Visa holders). An immigrant is any non-U.S. citizen who has a visa listed in “Immigrant Visa Categories” on the U.S. Department of State’s webpage Directory of Visa Categories" IR5 is shown as an immigrant visa, so then he does not need a vaccination. (Sorry, I know its a little weird to explain it this way, but then you have the full picture/explanation.) You cannot go into the embassy in Warsaw with him, if this is what you are asking. Most people suggest that you take a folder and bring original copies of any documents you uploaded to CEAC, and most people would also suggest making a photocopy of all the originals as well (this is just because of how it used to be done long ago, just in case the officer wanted to take some document). There is not any problem with taking these to the interview, so better to be 'safe'
  12. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Nigeria.html Check this page, under "Marriage, Divorce Certificates": Exceptions: The vast majority of customary marriages will have no written record. Comments: Submitted Nigerian marriage certificates will be reviewed by a consular officer at the time of interview Nigerian law recognizes multiple types of legal marriage, each with their own requirements. The two main types are customary marriages and registry marriages. 1.) CUSTOMARY MARRIAGES: While customary marriages are legally binding, no registration or written record of the event is required by law. As a result, documentation of customary marriages generally does not exist outside of photographs taken at the ceremony. Individuals will sometimes, when necessary, swear an affidavit in a court that they are married in order to provide written proof of such a marriage. Some Local Governments will issue a certificate based on that affidavit by virtue of the Registration of Customary Marriage bylaws. Absence of an affidavit or certificate of this kind cannot be taken as lack of marital status. [Note: The bylaws mentioned vary from state to state and authorize Local Government Authorities (LGAs) to register customary marriages that take place in their jurisdiction. The bylaws do not exist in all states and several states that have them do not make registration compulsory.] There are two types of Customary Marriage: marriage under native law & custom (also known as traditional marriage) and Islamic marriage. 1.)a.) Marriage Under Native Law & Custom: Traditional marriage ceremonies are based on local, unwritten customs. In the case of Lagos residents, the customs of the local area or village where the family originates from (usually outside Lagos State) should also be considered. Cultural context will determine whether a legally binding marriage ceremony took place, versus an introduction or other non-binding ceremony. Some local customs permit proxy marriages, where the groom need not be present at the ceremony. In nearly all Nigerian cultures, payment of a dowry or bride price is a key component of a traditional marriage ceremony. The dowry may be in the form of money, gifts, or a combination of both. Yams are a typical part of the dowry in many areas within Nigeria. [Note: Modernization has led to some evolution in traditional marriages, and payment of the bride price in some recent marriages is merely symbolic.] Traditional marriage also allows for a man to legally marry more than one wife. EDIT for clarification: I think what you need is a sworn affidavit/explanation, and attach this to the marriage certificate you previously provided. Otherwise, the NVC agent will be looking for a standard marriage certificate as described in the main part of that page.
  13. Cause they go in chronological order, their website updates on Monday afternoons so this data is fresh (today, they are processing people from Oct 24th/25th maybe) and I'm Oct 26th. I expect to be reviewed maybe tomorrow, but probably Wednesday, so somehow the other post doesn't make sense if they submit docs on Oct 28th, they wouldn't be reviewed yet.
  14. I'm a little confused. You say you submitted all the documents on the 28th, but NVC isn't processing those cases yet (I'm on the 26th), so are you saying you somehow already got reviewed and an RFE, or that you are worried about it? At this point, I wouldn't touch anything in your documents and just wait for the review. If they have questions about the documents you provided, then you will get an RFE, if not, then you will get DQ. Overall, no, it doesn't seem like a marriage certificate is important to provide for a parent application, but if you did, I'm not sure how you can 'take it away', maybe someone else can suggest.
  15. Interesting, from your first marriage they wanted both the certificate and divorce paperwork? I luckily decided to attach both... Though I'm worried that the reviewer is going to be dumb (I was trying to be smart and combined all my first marriage stuff into one pdf, with a cover page explaining it ...) I guess I'll find out tomorrow or Wednesday
  16. That's crazy! You and I were messaging a while back about doing the interview in Jerusalem, I assume that other people in the telegram group were getting approval through faster than this? That would have been frustrating to watch.
  17. There is a "submit documents" button, what you had to click, after uploading all the documents. What day did you click that for the AOS documents and the civil documents? Whichever is the later date (if different) is the date you are in line. If you uploaded something else, and then clicked the submit documents button again, you get put to the end of the line again, based on that new, later date. Edit: looking at your documents, you uploaded the last on October 28th, so I assume that is when you last clicked on "submit documents", and that would be the date. If for some reason you only pressed that button on the 29th, then it will still show the document upload on the 28th, but you would only be reviewed with the people who submit on the 29th
  18. Per @millefleur's post, you might also want to look at transferring to Serbia. My wife's Italy visa decision has been made... But they won't tell her what it is! So she can only find out when she gets her passport back, probably on Wednesday. We might be in the same boat as you, so please keep this thread updated with any info you get about transfers. Even if we do get a Schengen visa, I still would be curious to know how communicative Jerusalem and Belgrade embassies are regarding transfer... Basically the only advantage of Warsaw is that you can do the medical in Moscow. Actually, on that note, I'm wondering if anyone knows: Let's say my wife leaves her interview in Warsaw and eventually gets scheduled, she then goes for the medical in Moscow... Then for whatever reason we decide to transfer the case from Warsaw to any other embassy - is the medical from Moscow still valid? Or would she have to re-do the medical in Serbia/Israel in order to do the interview there?
  19. Hi Diana22, welcome to the forum. Can you provide additional information about this application - this isn't enough information for anyone to give you advice. What type of visa did you apply for, are you the petitioner or beneficiary, who sent you this message, etc...
  20. So, I'm definitely no expert and haven't even been DQ'ed yet (hoping within the next 3 days...) But my application, I listed my current year income (2022), as well as what was reported on last 3 years of tax returns (2019, 2020, 2021), but for simplicity I didn't even include tax transcripts for 2019 and 2020... I had considered providing those, but it would get messy since I was married to my ex-wife in 2019 and would therefore have to provide W2's, etc etc. From what you've said, as long as the tax transcripts from 2019 and 2020 were only your income, then you should be fine from my understanding.
  21. I doubt it, the day has just begun! So, probably the NVC timeframes page will update first (usually between noon-4pm EST), and any reviews/approvals will come through this afternoon or evening.
  22. ok, that makes a little more sense - I had read it that the only evidence you were providing was that he had Stripe account summaries. As long as he filed taxes, then (imo) you'd want to include the full tax filing with whatever schedules were used to justify/show the taxable income, and not just the tax transcript. Good luck!
  23. I very much doubt that stripe account summary is going to work. For joint sponsor, they need to have a verifiable income and the only way that can be done is through IRS filings, which means needing a W2 or 1099, or through overall proof of assets, which means bank/investment statements. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/i-864-affidavit-faqs.html#aos14
  24. It's unlikely. Usually they work on Saturdays, in the last two months, they have improved processing time, but even before COVID could take 1 month. Today they did Oct 24, so I think my review on Tuesday/Wednesday, but yours by the end of the week, probably Thursday.
