  1. Just found this >>> https://www.ssa.gov/ssnvisa/Handout_11_1.html "We will mail your SSN card to the U.S. mailing address where the Department of Homeland Security will send your Permanent Resident Card. You should receive your Social Security card within 3 weeks after you arrive." IMPORTANT: Call us if you do not receive your Social Security card after 3 weeks or if you change your mailing address after arrival in the United States. If you call us, please have this letter with you. It will help us answer your questions.
  2. Just in case you want to be sure that her address is updates with USCIS: https://www.uscis.gov/addresschange Also, automatic issuance of SSN for some. If SSN has not been received (maybe 3 weeks after arrival), apply in person at a local SSA office or contact SSA.

  4. Oh yeah, may be accelerated I meant. Thank you for the correction. I was thinking of our I-90 replacement of lost GC that got denied when the 2-year have expired for CR1, due to the reason of pending I-751. Paid for the I-90, paid for the I-751, and soon for N-400, another set of payment. Hopefully, by then, we hear from USCIS and get out monies worth. Our fault that we have to go to USCIS yearly to get I-551 stamp because of loss GC.
  5. Entering as CR1, green card is conditional resident with expiry of 2 years from entry. 3 months or less before expiry, conditional LPR needs to file I-751 Removal of Conditions. I-751 takes a long time to process but cLPR should receive letter of extension from USCIS when nearing the 2 year expiry. (We did receive a letter to file for the I-751, we are still waiting for approval/issuance of 10 yr green card (estimated 2026). Hubby is eligible for naturalization soon, so we may get US citizen first and 751 denied
  6. 1.) Visit this post for UID - 2.) Document submission form with passport. I suggest to submit a copy of 221-G as well with passport. (no harm in sending) 3.) Upload only the document required. (Pardon me, we didn't experience 221G but just helping you to some answers found in VJ and from our chat group then when we were processing.)
  7. No, do not use Global Entry as that uses whatever document you previously registered. With your CR1 stamp in your passport, enter LPR line. You will be processed as LPR, make sure to check your passport for your entry stamp before leaving the officer. Later on, update your Global Entry enrolment documents with your green card and other info needed. Your travel document is now your CR1 stamp on passport. Becomes your I-551 once endorsed by the immigration officer on your point of entry.
  8. It is on the last page of the filed pdf generated (well, at least it is for me - am using Desktop TurboTax (TT) though, not online). Your final pdf should have some certification from TurboTax that it has been e-filed. Email final pdf.
  9. Yes, I suggest you update I-864, use latest form. No need to sign, include the TT electronic post-mark certificate of electronic filing. Upload and also email to your spouse to print and take to interview. Seems the same still happening when we filed in 2022 - Manila requiring updated 864. We had a chat group back then, so, we get the scoop as each person undergo the interview.
  10. Because you provided your 2024 W2 (even though you have not filed taxes for 2024) it should be reflected in your Affidavit of support. Just fill up another i-864 with your 2022-2024 income, then upload. Upload the 2024 W2 too if not yet uploaded. God bless!
  11. I was PH citizen, married a PH citizen in PH. (year1) Divorced in US before US citizenship. (year4) Gained US citizenship. (year11) Married a PH citizen. (year20) Filed ROM. (year20) Petitioned the PH citizen. (year21) Gained Dual PH with 2nd marriage's last name. (year23) Honestly, I do not know my status in PH if ever we retire there or buy property. 😇😁 I guess we retire here and just visit PH 🤣
  12. Review the I-130 filed as the information is asked there: vs
  13. No need for the 1040 since you already have the transcripts. I think she is good to go! Blessings to you both!
  14. Last 3 years of transcript (21,22,23) and the last W2 (2023) to be uploaded in CEAC and have on hand (just email and print). This has been the normal ask of since we processed in 2022. A lot of people were sent out to upload those 4 docs (expensive printing/internet outside embassy, plus immigrant may not have their phone), then if still early to come back. Some people were asked only the latest. It is still best to provide the last 3 years and last W2, to show continuous income to support our beneficiary. Just sharing our experience (we had a group chat then).
