  1. I hope you’re right! Yeah, it’s definitely super easy to overthink, especially since I’m so emotionally exhausted from all of this. Thank you for your post!
  2. I had my interview at the consulate this morning (in Auckland, NZ), and was feeling quite good about everything. All the other people before me were told “congratulations the visa has been approved and you will receive it in about 10 days” at the end of their interviews. Mine went well/normal but at the end the lady said they had to fix something on the medical that the medical staff had missed (which was apparently minor), and also: ”we have everything we need” ”we’ll let you know if we need anything else” And that was it. And I’m just super unsure about the result of the interview cos obviously I wasn’t told that it was approved, or even that it would be approved after they fixed the issue. The kept my passport but didn’t tell me when I’d get it back. Everyone I’ve told about this said it will probably be fine but I’m definitely getting paranoid and am disheartened that I have no clarity on any of it. Does anyone know what might happen?
  3. Hi all! I recently got approved to be able to schedule my interview at the Auckland (NZ) US consulate (for a K1 visa). The website has been saying, "there are no appointment slots available" for a few days now, which seems to be a common thing from what I've read. I was wondering if anyone is able to answer any of my many questions! How many available slots are normally added to the system/calendar at a time? Are new slots added month by month, with the new/next subsequent month added at the end of the current month? Or will scattered slots just randomly pop up? OR do I have to just wait and hope that someone else cancels their appointment to be able to get one? I just hope I don't have to check this website daily for like, over a month, or that a slot will show up but it'll be like, 3 months from now. Surely it can't be that difficult or long-winded! If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated! I know it probably varies a lot, but I'd love some insight!
  4. Hi all! So, I just received an email from my local consulate (Auckland) instructing me on how to schedule my interview. I’m confused though cos when I follow the link onto the website that asks me for info to then schedule my interview, it asks me to either pay the fee online or mail the money. But the consulate had said many times to NOT pay online OR pay via mail. So I’m confused about what to do cos the website won’t let me progress unless I pay the fee online. If anyone has done this in Auckland please let me know what I should do!
  5. Guys I have a random question. I noticed on the NOA2 form it has an expiration date. Or rather, it has a validity period that spans 4 months (making mine end in April). Does this matter past the point of the case making it to the embassy? Or, does anyone know what it’s even for?
  6. It really depends and unfortunately there’s no way to know how long it’ll take - I’m not sure what it depends on. For mine, it was about 29 days from the NOA2 to the nvc sending my case off. It might depend what country our case will be going to!
  7. It still takes me to a thing asking for a tracking number and there’s nothing else
  8. Guys I’m so confused and I’m sorry if this has already been answered before. But I can’t log in to CEAC cos it tells me my case number is wrong, and/or that the case number & ID are wrong (I used AA00000000 for the id) as suggested by someone previously). I can’t try the dhl trick either cos it only lets me put in a tracking number and not a reference. Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong? I really wanna track this so I know how much time I have.
  9. Yeah that’s the date! Oh man, surely they’ll get onto it soon, I figure they do it in a vague way that might not necessarily be chronological Nah it still just says approved!
  10. Oh darn I knew I needed it for something! Ok good idea I’ll sent another one now, thank you!!
  11. Hey guys! Just got an email from the NVC in response to an enquire I sent, saying: “We forwarded your immigrant visa petition to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate on 01-MAR-2023.” But I’m confused because I don’t have a case number and wasn’t given one in the email. Does anyone know why? Do I maybe not need one for my country (New Zealand)? I guess I maybe don’t even need it since they said they’ve already sent it to my embassy haha! I’m confused can I celebrate?! 😅🙌
  12. Ah ok that makes sense. Is there ever any point inquiring at all if they have your email anyway and will just tell you if/when something happens? I’m wondering if I should send a proper inquiry asking if they’ve received my case.
  13. Wait I’m kinda confused now. I followed the instructions on the PDF at the start of this thread, which said to send an inquiry through the website, saying that you want to update your emails. And that would then mean that once they give you a case number they send it to those emails. Did I do this correctly? Should I have sent an inquiry actually asking if my case had arrived yet? I find the system a little confusing! It kinda seems like you’re in the dark unless you nag them for more info haha. If anyone has answer pls let me know!
  14. Oh man this is what I’m afraid will happen to me too! Surely not, I don’t see why they would still hold on to cases for a month and not send them.
  15. This is interesting cos I thought we had to wait at least 30 days until being allowed to enquire at the nvc! Maybe I should enquire soon…
  16. Oh right! Phew! Nah that’s all good that makes sense with what my understanding of it was too. Thank you!!
  17. Wow thank you for this! Is it really THREE months even though on the actual NOA2 letter it says, “we have sent your case to the nvc”? I thought it took 30-45 days?
  18. Hi everyone! I'm sorry if someone's already answered this but when your case arrives at the nvc do they just email you or tell you, or can you only know if you reach out to them? Also does USCIS send cases out whenever they're approved or do they go out in batches every few weeks? ♡
  19. Did you use the normal inquiry form when you did it? I’m not sure if there’s an attachments section but I can’t see anywhere to write extra 🤔
  20. Thank you! I’m also so glad you’ve received information about something regarding your case - I’ve seen you in the forums for a while and know that you’ve been waiting forever!
  21. Thank you this is so helpful! Is it compulsory to provide the plea or did you just do it to cover all your bases? I hope the same happens for me!
  22. Hi all! In about a week my I-129F will be officially outside the normal processing time, so I plan to contact USCIS about it. I was wondering if anyone has done the same and what may happen, if anything? Do they put in a request to the case so something can happen or do they sometimes just not do anything about it? Let me know! I’ve been waiting for 500 days and I’ve lost all hope 🥲
  23. I’m at 497 days since my case was received still with nothing! I’ve lost all hope!!!! 🥲
