  1. It seems like USCIS added an option to file I-485 online at $50 discount ($1390 as of May 2026) for K-1 applicants. Has anyone tried that route yet?
  2. NVC will not communicate with out until they ship approved petition to USEm. If you want to hear from them sooner, you need to fill out public inquiry form at https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html The shipment notification will be e-mailed to e-mail address you specified at I-129F by the way. Typically NVC ships every 2 weeks. Next shipment will start tomorrow 5 May 2026. Good luck!
  3. Currently about 8-10 months, but past results do not guarantee future performance, AND individual cases are different, there are always outliers. In addition USCIS now started request biometrics from I-129F petitioners as part of deeper background checks and also shifting its operations from CA to TX. What effect it will have on future timelines is anyone's guess.
  4. They need information about petitioner (US Citizen) so they can pass it on to FBI and other background verification services. Form I-129F for the most part is entirely about petitioner.
  5. As far as I can tell they only potentially add new slots exactly at the top of the hour. Not every hour mind you. I believe Manila only does K-1s on Tuesdays btw.
  6. Curious, did your USCIS status changed to "Case was Sent to Department of STATE" or does it still show "case approved" TIA
  7. In general, cover letter is not something that is required by USCIS. It is main use is to be a checklist for the documents you included in the package to make sure you didn't forget anything. Don't overthink it. More important things to not forget are 2 letters of intent to get married and proof of face to face meeting in 2 years prior to filing.
  8. I-134 if you are at the Embassy step. I-864 if you are at AOS (I-485) step.
  9. While Manila EMBASSY doesn't usually ask for I-134, PH specific CFO process usually does. Without it, your partner might not be allowed to leave even if visa is issued.
  10. Donation was done on inauguration date for Pres Biden. Most people donate to get someone elected. It could've easily been lost bet. "Biden would never be President?" "Oh, you are so sure? Want to bet about it?" Yes this is speculation just like speculation about his motives for registering Republican.
  11. Regardless the political party affiliation of the shooter, I do find it interesting that so far there has been a radio silence on their actual motives, if they actually had any. Their social media footprint was minimal, most of it contained in Discord, and there was nothing particularly revealing from Discord either at least so far. I would not be entirely surprised if Trump was not even intended target, but instead it was someone local, or motivation was not political to begin with. Akin to Reagan's would be assassin.
  12. Guess he was just a bit envious of VP ####### Cheney who actually did shot someone. Speaking of "bulleyes" where does this fall?
  13. Domestic? A minute before that he was ranting about eliminating immigrants. When you kick a dog one too many times, it might bite back.
  14. Primary thing they want to see is IRS transcript for 2023.
  15. Aren't you past USCIS phase? They approved your case and it is NVC now. I would think if you have valid reasons to expedite you need to be contacting consulate at that point and have them request your case.
  16. 3rd party Case Tracker app does work for NVC cases as well as USCIS as of now.
  17. Your I-134 will likely get briefest of glances at the Embassy and the part they will glance are IRS Tax transcript, not finer points of US geography. Also neither I-129F nor I-134 are signed by beneficiary, so it is extremely unlikely to be an issue or brought up at all. If it is brought up, you know the answer, simple mistake that larger city was named instead of smaller near by city.
  18. Not entirely true. NVC will send paper copy of K1-FTP letter to address of beneficiary on I-129F form. It is not really needed for anything though and can be easily and faster printed by beneficiary from the NVC e-mail.
  19. It shouldn't cause but after updating address, you might want to follow up with USCIS to make sure address WAS actually updated in their system. They are not very good about that.
  20. I read your post. This is 2nd time it happened, On April 30 mail was not delivered to you as well. Chances are it is same mail now bouncing back and forth. You might want to check with your Post Office just in case. Or USCIS made a mistake and send that one to a wrong address, now it is bouncing.
  21. I-129F is $675 MRV is ~$265 (varies due to exchange rate variation) Medical varies $30-$400 I-485 (AOS) $1440 I-765 (EAD) (optional but recommended) $260 I-751 (ROC) (rarely optional) $750 ====================== So yeah about $3000 not counting things like airfare.
  22. I I am guessing this is in reference to April 30, 2024 entry when USPS was not able to deliver something to you, and it was returned to USCIS. They likely resend that document, but it got returned again.
  23. There are some 3rd party app that allow you to check status, CaseTracker being the best probably. Note this is not an official USCIS app. It makes it simpler though as you don't have to deal with CAPTCHA.
  24. What is this Engagement certificate? You might to be careful on how things are worded on it and it will not be mistaken for a marriage one. To the best of my knowledge government doesn't usually concern itself with engagements.
  25. It is part of standard template of RFE for 2 year meeting requirements. They are not asking for pictures together specifically but it is listed as an example of the evidence you can send to them to satisfy it. Was part of template for that RFE. "Evidence MAY include but is not limited" I agree that including other stronger evidence to show meeting happened within 2 years would be prudent.
