NEWARK n400 HELP?
MichaelJuan.198 replied to MichaelJuan.198's topic in US Citizenship Case Filing and Progress Reports
I’ve said in the initial message that she isn’t sure about the name to take yet, so she would have to hurry otherwise we can’t send packet. Also, I know that name change causes delays but I was asking about while filing VS at interview. Is there a difference between changing name on form VS changing name during interview? Does it mean no same day other either way? -
Hi, My wife and I are applying for the N-400, and she is unsure about whether or not to request a name change. I have a specific question: If she requests a name change on the form itself versus requesting it during the interview, does it make a difference in terms of scheduling the same-day oath ceremony or causing any delays? She applied in a field office (newark) where they conduct the oath ceremony the same day, so I’d like to know if requesting a name change at the interview would affect this process. Specifically, do they typically process name changes before the interview, or is it handled only during the interview? Any clarity on this would be very helpful.

Hi there, I have a few questions about N400 application: 1) In the section when they ask to update SSA for us, should we say yes? I’ve read somewhere that it could cause delays! 2) We’d like to update name (first name) but ideally would like to wait till the interview to do so. BUT, local field office does Oath and passport application the same day so, would it cause delays if we ask for name change the same day? Is it best to do during online application instead? 3) Regarding these evidence: “Documents referring to you and your spouse: a. Tax returns, bank accounts, leases, mortgages, or birth certificates of children; or b. Internal Revenue Service (IRS)-certified copies of the income tax forms that you both filed for the past 3 years; or c. An IRS tax return transcript for the last 3 years.” What do you typically recommend to include. It says “or” do not sure if more is better. Also, we have submitted bank statements etc for removal of conditions, should we resubmit things we have already submitted? Thanks

Hi here, Me and my wife Julia just sent our 751 packet. Regarding the removal of condition, from what I understand the packets can be sent to difference service centered. Potomac is dreaded and is usually categorized as “blocked”. Now… there are three schools: - 1) The “Your Service Serve Matters” school: here people argue that you have more chances to be approved quickly if you are at the right service center. - 2) The “It doesn’t Matter What Service Center, It’s Completely Random” school. These people don’t believe that one service center is worst than another. I fact they think of it as a random process. - 3) The “Ugh” school! This refers the some people on this forum, usually very active and very negative. Any question is met with a cold and “Duh” answer. *IF YOU ARE PART OF THIS SCHOOL, YOU CAN CLOSE THE PAGE NOW, THIS POST IS NOT FOR YOU* 🚩😘 Question: can those from the school 1 and 2 give me facts and why you think this or that way? Thank you so much. Ps: remember, I’m looking for positive and respectful feedback only. Negativity or pessimism won’t be tolerated in this post.

That is it, we are sending our packet for removal of conditions. I think I have everything, check, form, evidence, green card copy. Can you please tell me what do usually people forget to do? What are the things I should make sure I have? I want to make sure I didn’t forget anything. -

Hi there, I have an important question, when my wife did her 485 a couple years back she said she was 5”2. We after realized she was actually 5”1. Her ID says 5”1. Now, for the removal of conditions, should we put 5”2 to match the old packet, or should we adjust to 5”1. Is that a problem if we change it on the removal of conditions application? Can the officer have a problem with this sudden change of size? -
Hi there, I have two questions for you today. 1) i want to submits tact returns for 751. Should we do tact returns or W2? which one is best? my taxt returns are very long. 2) in the future when we get the extension letter, is it safe to travel with this letter? are people generally welcomed back? Is there a secret?
MichaelJuan.198 replied to MichaelJuan.198's topic in Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion
can you give details? i don’t know what “very complete, thorough package” means -
Hi there, I’m about to send the packet for removal of conditions and I have a few questions. But before I even start, I know that there no direct way and promise that my case will be approved quickly. HOWEVER, I notice that a lot of people get approved pretty quickly (8 months give or take) while for some others it takes over 2 years. While It seems like there is no secrets to be approved quickly, I definitely see tendencies in the way some of you make their packets for example. I would like to hear more about those things in order to form my own opinion about what could potentially make it easy for USCIS and by extension help making things go a little quicker. I would like to hear from those whose removal of conditions was approved quickly. What evidence did you submit in your packet? How many pages was it?How much effort did you put into your packet overall? Did you print one evidence after the other or did you make an effort to create a syllabus? In what center was your packet sent? Also, if you have any other informations that you think would be helpful, feel free to share it! Thanks for your help!

Hi there, I will be applying for citizenship in few months and was wondering something about name change. I’m planning on changing my first and middle name. 1) Do you think it is better to change it during the Citizenship process? (I know I will have to wait after the interview then, how long by the way?) 2) Should I do it after the citizenship? Then I won’t have to wait extra time for citizenship to be approved. I know that doing it that way I would have to pay for change name unlike if i do it doing the citizenship process. 3) Right now, it says that in my state change name takes anywhere from 60 to 90 days. Is it the same time I would have to wait if I decide to change my name during the interview? If it’s approved and they have to send it to the judge for name change, am i going to have to wait 60 to 90 days or will it be faster? What’s the estimate? Thanks -

Hi there, I made a previous post about the process for applying for citizenship and now I have another question about another important topic. I am planning on changing my first and middle names. Nothing crazy but they are very different from my birth names. My questions are: - Should I change my names during the citizenship application or should I do it after? The thing is: I know that when you request a name change during the interview it slows down the process a bit because they need the judge to approve your request so I’m wondering what are the pros and cons of both situations - Also, If i decide to change my name after I get the citizenship, on my naturalisation certificate my old names would appear. Would that be a problem i’m the future? Like for exemple if my naturalization document is required somewhere and the name don’t match. Thank you!
