  1. Hello My wife successfully completed her interview at US Consulate in Jerusalem on July 11th. We are planning for her to come to USA permanently in late September, which is after our 2 year marriage mark (Sept 8 is anniversary). Will she be automatically given IR1 since the day she enters US (become Perm Resident) will be past our 2 year anniversary? Wasn't sure how this is handled or if it needs to be brought to someone's attention upon entry. Would like to avoid the whole CR1 and I751 removal of conditions process. Thank you!
  2. DQ on 6 of March and had not yet received IL. We decided to transfer our case to Jerusalem this past Friday to avoid the Schengen visa issues and logistical challenges with travel planning. Was notified this morning that our case was transferred and a new case number assigned. Wife has been living in Turkey this past year...so travel to Israel is very easy. Someone stated in another post that IL is typically received within 45 days in Jerusalem and interview dates 4 weeks out from there.
  3. Hi @Gal2957...I just requested transfer of our case to Jerusalem from Warsaw (on 7 April 2023) Curious about the medical exam scheduling. How long before interview did you complete medical exam? Can it be done same week as interview? How long for them to process Visa after completing interview?. Just trying to get a sense of amount of time I need to plan for in Israel.. Thank you!
  4. Hello....I'm considering transferring our case to Jerusalem from Warsaw. In the email back from the US Embassy they stated that they do not expedite cases and will not forward case to other embassies once transferred to them....so before confirming the transfer I was hoping someone can you tell me how long the wait was for confirmed interview? . Also, I heard the medical exam can take 2 weeks for the information to be shared to the embassy...is this true? Trying to figure out how long I might need to stay in Israel with my wife. Thank you!
  5. I had read other posts here that Russians were still able to enter Poland but had to come through another schengen country first...but may need to dig a little deeper into that. I'm hoping to have case transferred to Turkey, KZ or Israel...but no response back yet. Another issue is the vaccination record. My wife and I are older and she would have had her vaccinations done during the USSR days and more than 40 years ago. Getting vaccination records are a bit tricky for her as a result. Do you know if they take a close look at the childhood vaccines MMR, varicella, etc during medical exam....I know she can just get some boosters for tetanus and flu if that's required.
  6. Wow! This is really great and helpful information. Thank you for taking the time to respond in such detail. If you recall the Visa service you used in Russia that would also be great to know. I have no issue paying the expedited service fee.. especially if the schengen visa provided is good for a year. Thanks again...and congratulations to you both!
  7. @AVMNUSAAre you trying to transfer your case our just sticking with Warsaw? I'm going to see if I can get case transferred to Israel or Kazakhstan to simplify travel.
  8. My wife and I were DQ on 6-March and still awaiting word on interview schedule for Warsaw. I wrote to both the US embassies in Israel and Turkey to see if they would consider accepting our case to avoid the logistical challenges of getting schengen and coordinating all the travel within a very short window and getting a Schengen visa which takes several weeks to get and only good for 30 days. Can you please share the letter you wrote to the US Embassy in KZ to get your case transferred please? I want to be sure I'm citing the correct justifications in hopes we can also transfer our case to a Country easier to get to. Also, it was strange that after we were DQ and received notice of such...the CEAC site showed that my wife's documents mysteriously became "incomplete" from "accepted" I resubmitted the items in question (passport bio page, passport photo, turkey police certificate). Hope that doesn't impact anything since we are already DQ. I appreciate your input and suggestions. Thank you!
  9. Hi..we are DQ since March 3, 2023 and awaiting interview scheduling in Warsaw. I have requested the US Embassies in Israel and Turkey to consider accepting her case as travel would be much easier...but no word yet...not sure how long it takes for them to consider. If interviewing in Warsaw is the only acceptable option, I'm wondering how much time they give you to prepare for the trip when they schedule the interview? I've heard getting the Schengen Visa can take a few weeks and once received for whichever country (Spain, Italy, Greece, etc...) it's only valid for 30 days. So hoping there is at least a 2 month window for planning purposes and not a 3-4 week window as that would not allow enough time for processing her Schengen and traveling. If they schedule with a small window, does anyone know the rescheduling process? Can we log in to reschedule the date they provided to one maybe 6-8 weeks later or would it be months to reschedule? Thanks in advance for any suggestions or answers to my questions. Roger
