  1. Hey guys, We had a new I-693 completed with all vaccine requirements. This was sent and delivered to the USCIS PO box November 13th (two weeks before deadline). Our case updated today (date of evidence deadline) noting that our time to respond has expired with still no receipt of confirming they have our updated I-693. We are concerned but I suspect the website update was automatic and evidence might just be awaiting review (we don't see denied or approved on the USCIS case status site). Interested to hear your thoughts and if this is normal or abnormal processing.
  2. Thank you for all your help. Do we need to write a well drafted letter on top of the new I-693?
  3. she hasn’t yet received the vaccines but I’m sure we could get them if a fresh I-693 with complete evidence of full vaccines would work. here is the important portion of the letter. It’s hard to tell whether they would accept a fresh I-693 fully completed or a process an I-601 with a note specific to moral objection on basis of fertility. We are fine with sending in whatever they need for fastest route to clear this up but it isn’t totally clear… I also hear the I-601 is a very difficult and long route. Really could use some help here.
  4. Hi All, We are at the tail end of the I-485 and received an intent to deny due to I-693. We submitted an I-693 with I-485 and our civil surgeon noted a vaccine waiver due to my wife attempting to become pregnant. She did recently get other vaccines though. USCIS noted that a waiver is available and we must submit a response inside 30 days that provides evidence or arguments to support your application. does this mean we have the option to a) resubmit I-693 with proof of all vaccines or b) submit I-601. Would the moral objection regarding my wife’s situation for pregnancy not work with the I-601? interested to hear your thoughts.
  5. Nice! Thank you. Hopefully we are OK moving forward. This is a good lesson though and all documents truly need to be triple checked before sending them out.
  6. Hey guys, My wife completed biometrics today but they noticed the given and family name were mixed up (first name was last name and last name was first name) during the appointment. We confirmed this was a mistake isolated to the first page on the I-485 (Doh!). They still completed biometrics for her but asked us to try calling a number that lead to a total dead-end (robot designed to disconnect when requesting to speak with agent). We submitted a typographic error correction request through the USCIS support portal. Will this be enough or should we try to schedule an appointment? We also recently submitted a correct I-864 for an RFE so we are fairly worried here regarding possible denial etc. The biometrics lady said that we may need to try scheduling an appointment at our local USCIS office. Should we just wait on USCIS to respond to the typographical error case we submitted or is there something else we should do? We checked over all other forms carefully and they look good (correct first and last name entries).
  7. We got through with no requirements for vaccination. They did not ask for anything at the border.
  8. FYI the embassy my fiancee visited did not even glance at the I-134 or my tax returns... Obviously you should have this completed and ready regardless.
  9. I'm not entirely sure as it was my fiancee that had the exam. We simply elected to not receive missing vaccinations during our medical. Our application was approved at interview.
  10. We got ours online here: https://constancias.oadprs.gob.mx/inicio Simply printed it out and it was accepted (K1 visa approved and issued).
  11. Interesting. I suspect it likely would not be removed on the basis of this.
  12. We'll see what happens. I think it would be strange to be added to the list. Is the flu shot on the list?
  13. We just went through this. They test to see what you are missing in most cases. They will offer to provide you with missing vaccinations or elect to be vaccinated at a later time.
  14. Thank you! Probably only need one jab to get card as that would be enough evidence for entry. Will find out soon of course and keep you guys posted. We thought for sure we would run into problems at medical and interview as they are heavily pushing covid vaccination prior to appointments.
  15. K1 expires 6 months from issue. If it’s not dropped or somehow reinstated through another measure, we may just need to get it.
  16. This is our next and last bridge. We may just give crossing land border a shot without it and see what happens. Come May 11th the emergency measures drop and hopefully with it the mandate.
  17. Updating everyone that has followed this thread. My fiancée was approved today without having the COVID shots (even with all of the pushing for applicants to have them prior to medical/interview). NOA1 July 6th 2021 - to approved today March 3rd 2023 - 21 months total waiting time for K1.
  18. Well guys, we have tried finding a US accepted vaccine everywhere in the area in MX my fiancee resides and can not find one. I believe we fall under the category of vaccine unavailability. The medical facility in Juarez states they do not administer COVID specific vaccine during the medical exam which is interesting. Looks like if we do get it will need to be stateside! Thank you everyone here for the information and resources.
  19. Thank you. Never got the email. Ended up saving to PDF from site.
  20. Do you receive a confirmation or receipt via email after completion of DS-160? We completed but no email or nothing. Is there a waiting period? Does someone manually check this at consulate?
  21. Do we truly know they will let you board a flight or cross via land without stopping you? I just need this assurance from someone else that has been through this. I can't seem to pull an answer from searching here.
  22. Understood and I align with you regarding "public forum". It truly is a choice we have to deeply assess. We did make a step today verifying they will allow us to interview even without the vax.
  23. Good point. I'm not anti-vax at all but I am highly skeptical and critical. My stance based on the research I've conducted is to withhold if possible. I confirmed today the consulate will issue the K1 regardless of vaccine status. Entry into the US is now the problem... At the beginning people could cross by land which I believe was exempt but it appears they caught onto this and no longer allow it as of January 2022. This is difficult as time is very important to us and we are coming up on two years and do not want additional barriers or to greatly extend the time it takes to be together.
