Has anyone tried getting a visa to enter the Philippines or tried entering without lately (American)?
Currently trying to either meet up with my girlfriend or meet there and she is saying it's incredibly difficult flying out and thinks meeting there is easier. Unfortunately, 10 day quarantine would eat up an incredible amount of PTO, but I'm not opposed to going that route. Was hoping pre-flying her to Thailand, say Phuket, and quarantine and then I fly into the sandbox would be an option or going to some other country like Morocco. However, if me quarantining there is the easiest then I don't see an issue if I am allowed there.
We are both vaccinated and I'm affiliated with the Govt. being a cleared contractor if that helps in drafting up any affidavits for support and reassuring I wouldn't keep her past visa.
If you have no ties to Philippines it gonna be difficult or impossible for you to enter the Philippines. You would need to meet in a 3rd country like you described and then you will have to watch if Philippines citizens are banned from going there due to Covid, or if Philippines is banning people coming from the country you meet her in.
Things seem to change quite often as well.

So let me ask. If a person comes on tourist visa and during the stay they decide to get married. Would the person need to leave the USA while they process the CR1 visa? Or can they stay in and live as husband and wife while the paper work is being processed?
-
For me getting married online without meeting is too risky.
If I need to get married in the Philippines that is my ace card I will save in case it is needed for a visa. Once you get married in the Philippines it almost impossible to do it again, unless you want to waste alot of time and spend some money.
Too easy to do multiply K1's and get approved, if for some reason they deny your K1 then you can get married in Philippines and get approved, is what I have seen.
-
If you are married you can enter with Balikbayan Privilige with your wife and then go meet your gf. You will need to carry your marriage certificate from the USA and you get up to a one year entry.

Actually, if I remember right, it was @John & Rose 's case: their K1 petition was approved, but during the interview at the US Embassy in Manila, the visa was denied because the petitioner didn't disclose his entire criminal history. They had to start from scratch with a spousal visa. John, correct me if this isn't accurate.
It would just depend when he filed his 1-129.
When I did mine a few years ago, you only had to disclose certain crimes from what I remember. One would have to read the instructions offered by USCIS to see what criminal history you need to disclose.
Requirements from USCIS change every few years

I hope you disclosed all those arrests in the I-129F petition even if the records have been expunged. There's a very well-known case here on VJ of a K1 case handled by a visa services company, denied due to non-disclosure of expunged record.
I never disclosed any of my arrest never had an issue.
Very well known on here you say? Sounds like more of bad luck to me.

LU SEE FURR, so if they ask for originals since you don't have them and give them certified copies from the court they will take them? Just wondering
Of course.

If you have the original. Take the original.... otherwise you will ne denied and asked to send originals before they can approve
Not true
I would say quit a few people don't have the original. Only certified copies. And it would be up to CO to determine if they wanted to see a certified copy/original at the interview.

I seriously doubt an Immigration Lawyer actually said this.
Sounds like it has been heavily corrupted.

As has already been said your Philippine passport became void the moment you took your oath of citizenship.
Just the same, do bring the passport with you when you travel to the Philippines, it can be used as evidence of former Philippine citizenship thus you can get the BB stamp in your U.S. passport and that will allow you to stay for 1 year without having to pay any fee when exiting.
So you are good to go, once the Philippines open their doors
Enjoy your visit.
The Philippines passport must still be current?

As anyone who understands the Philippines and SE Asia, if you dont question fees, youll be constantly ripped off. At one point a few years ago,
Even more if they know you have a US husband or boyfreind or if you are a US Citizen.

Do they still have the "get in line" option? I've used that to make an appointment.
I don't know, last time he did it he had to stand in line, I think the appointment is at selected locations.

What did DPS tell him about the situation? That seems to be the place to start.
Trying to get ahead of the DPS just in case they tell him his renewal letter is no good.
I have seen other going for Texas DL and been told at the local DMV you need greencard in hand, while there is some rule that state you only need to apply.
As you well know it's about one to two hour wait to even speak to a person at DMV, so trying to get everything he needs first.
-
One of my employees Texas Driver Licenses expires every 2 year due to being DACA and that is what his EAD expires every two years.
He has heard there is a backlog of getting DACA renewed, so if he takes his NOA1 to the DMV will they let him renew even though his EAD is set to expire soon?

Hopefully this is not a propaganda story:
https://newsinfo.inquirer.net/1448436/ph-seals-deal-for-40-m-doses-of-pfizer-covid-19-vaccine
40 million will help, Sadly it will be August before they arrive.
Philippines is finally trying to pull its head out of its rear end and actually finally secure some vaccines
I guess better late than never, wish they would of done this 6 months ago

When you get ready to stop the process:
You send a notarized letter to your embassy/consulate where the interview is to take place. Include NOA1 and NOA2 copies if you have them, and include all information you can.
The consular section of the embassy/consulate may send you a letter that says " Under U.S. Immigration law, the approval of an immigrant or fiancee petition is automatcally revoked upon:
the formal notice of withdrawl filed by the petitioner / beneficary
I would think for sure the US Petitioner would get this letter and you may also.
Good Luck

As far as I know and what Adventine says, I dont know of any spouses that were allowed to stay in the same room. They were separated and one had to take the child. Its ridiculous and does not make any sense, but that is the procedure.
Wow, That is insane

Hello,
so my mom missed her flight.. and the airline we booked with is asking for a crazy amount of money to reschedule the flight. Long story short, she is now flying with PAL.
She is a senior citizen, and we had no problems with the previous airline to request for assistance, as the layover before was Doha. However, this time the layover is LAX, these are my questions:
1. Does she need to collect her baggage when she arrives in LAX? PAL is partnering with American Airlines, so the flight to PHL it will be AA. We booked it all in one ticket.
2. Will LAX be the airport she will get interviewed by immigrations?Thank you so much in advance.
I have more than once just left my luggage at my POE after coming in from Manila, and they either the airlines or CBP will send it to your final destinaiton. I have done this on a few trips when I was running late catching my flight from Manila to my final destination in the USA.

she h as 4 hours before her flight
my mom even when I advised her not to, is bringing 2 big luggages with and she does have a hard time moving around with it, as she gets easily tired with walking (sadly there is no relative that can fly with her). the airline before was already easy enough but since we changed airlines and layovers procedures will be different. and I read PAL has been moved to an area where connecting flights, you would need to walk more and is a bit farther, for her she will find it hard to walk to. I was wondering if there's someone I can call to make sure someone can help her get to the next gate. a wheelchair or cart. For a wheelchair all she needs to is request one when she need it. Ask about anyone on the flight or the gate crew and they will get her a wheelchair. You can also have it waiting for her when she boards or unboards the planes

Yes, I understand. Unfortunately Duterte is in panic mode and it's a Mongolian cluster***k there. They change the rules daily, sometimes 3 or 4 times a day. Of course I am already vaccinated and I could not bring the disease to the Philippines and I could not catch it there...but the bureaucrats there have their heads in the sand while their people starve. It's so sad really. The Filipino people really need to get foreigners there spending money. The ironic thing is they claim they are worried that visitors would bring fake vaccination cards. Pretty funny since there are more "fixers" in the Philippines than there are in all of Nigeria, creating fake documents. What a joke!!!
I see COVID Cases are rising as of today and some cities are going back to stricter lockdowns.
Sadly the Filipino people have no fight left in them. They are too compliant and I fear that they will never get their freedom back.

Duterte is well known for threatening to shoot dissenters and his Davao Death Squads from his mayor days. I can easily see the government cracking down violently on any election protest.
Yes for sure I can see him cracking down as well and I think this is a real possibility as well
