    I'm starting to see very confusing information and it worries me. On our petition we indicated Chennai as our embassy (beneficiary lives in Chennai so this made sense). Now I'm starting to see that only Mumbai handles family-based immigration cases. Does that mean that I need to update our petition or potentially transfer our case to the Mumbai consulate when we get to the NVC stage?😖😣 Does Chennai not handle family-based visas?

    I actually think they are blowing smoke, because it's been in AR1 status for 6 months lol. But I pray that you are right, and that an approval comes thru soon. Keep us posted on your next journey if you can! Super excited for you!

    Congrats!! For most of the research that I've seen, a lot of people that filed in early October were sent to Texas and then transferred to Potomac. I file an expedite request in the end of February and they just got back to me a few days ago with this reply... Which is basically telling me absolutely nothing lol... Fairly sure I'll be waiting the full 12 to 14 months...

    Yea, lol, I know. That's just a lil sarcastic humor to go along with the very informative message. It kind of sucks though because, if it is with an officer right now... then they're going off of the AR1 that I received a few days after I submitted. That technically means that anybody that has gotten an AR1 already can't file an expedite. The least they could have done was tell me at what point in the process I'm at... Like the background check, document review, etc.

    After about a month following my expedite request and then filling an inquiry about the result, I just received this response... Basically not an approval nor a denial but a... Maybe lol. Just sharing in case someone else has either received or soon receives the same message. Very helpful indeed 🙄
