If the laws don't change soon its going to be total chaos a few years down the line. We are actually seeing crazy backlogs at the embassy for the Immediate Relatives Categories, now imagine F Visas. But well, they say no other first world offer such visas to the rest of us, its a privilege and we are at their mercy.

Hello VJ, My petitioner (mother) is currently hosting my 2 nephews and a niece who are on F1 Student Visas. Being non-immigrant visas, was wondering if they should also be included as household members on form I-864 that the petitioner should fill out for my upcoming interview? Asking because I found this list online of those who should be included and it didn't seem to suggest they should.

Thanks for the share. A very elaborate document. Hopefully this clears up any concerns raised about Dominican Republic numbers. And I will quote; ''INA Section 202 prescribes that visa issuances to nationals of any single country may not exceed seven percent during a fiscal year. This limit serves to avoid the potential monopolization of the annual limitation by applicants from only a few countries. That limitation is not a quota to which any particular country is entitled, however. For FY 2024 the per-country limit will be approximately 27,090''

We already have a year's prediction in last month's VB. (10 weeks movement in Q1and Q2, whatever that meant. You can't really fault the guy who grabbed 4 slices of Pizza if at the start everyone was told it was okay to do that by the supervisor. The guy just reacted quicker. DR numbers are legal. The laws and policies just need to change. The resentment won't help. I've heard many say these types of immigration visas to the US rarely exist in other first worlds, so its a privilege of some sorts. They may be right. We keep waiting!

Do you realize these numbers are etched in law? Is the USA DOS breaking the law in plain sight in regards to this matter? I bet not. Why are we not seeing class action lawsuits all over the place? And btw, the movement/spill over of FB to E visas is also in law so I'm confused when you say lawyers are pushing that. ion, I think this paragraph in the article shared above collaborates your analysis.

Have you paused for a while and asked yourself that maybe you might be wrong with your calculations? And if I may ask, what do you think is the motivation of 'over issuing' visas to certain countries? (DR for e.g) I mentioned here before that I doubt visas are being issued to the said countries haphazardly because c'mon ... we would be hearing a lot of uproar from various quarters party to this matter.

Not sure what you mean but they can and have advanced dates before (last VB) irrespective of Current numbers in DR. Nobody out here knows how and when they advance dates because specific Current and DQ numbers for specific countries/regions aren't provided. I guess it's an internal thing and how they advance dates is at their discretion. That's why we have Visa Bulletins after they are done with their internal processes 🤷

Its time we stop focusing on DR numbers. Most seem to suggest the numbers they are receiving are 'illegal', which I doubt is the case. Probably our math or understanding of the cap numbers is wrong. There are a miriad of reasons why things are sluggish, and we all know them. As one stated, these kinds of visas seldom exists for other countries, we are at their mercy, and it shows with the way they treat these FB visas. The law just needs to change for significant improvements to be seen. For now, Let's hope things ramp up soon.

We have been doing analysis, making predictions and speculating for the last 3 years now and nobody has nailed it. Point is, even with the data we have been provided, you have seen that we simply cannot speculate! We have been and are still in unprecedented times, nobody knows out here what the future holds.

This is obviously good news! Any movement after 3 years 4 months should be something! As you should know by now, VB movement has always been unpredictable, it can move 9 days, 7 days, 4 months, 2 months, sometimes 0 days as we have observed over the last couple of years ... it cant be an accurate assesment if we say we will only now be seeing 9 day movements here on forward. Stay positive! This is good news!
