Nick and I met in April 2005 in a karaoke bar:) Few weeks later we started dating and became officially a girlfriend and a boyfriend. It was a great summer! He treated me so good:), he still does:)!!! We moved in togeher in October 2006. My student visa was about to expire, so, taking an immigration laywer advice, we applied for a change of status - from student to tourist (I said that I'd need some extra time to find another school to finish my PhD and after being accepted I'd apply to change my status back to studen.) As a sponsor, Nick wrote a passionate letter about why he supports my extended stay clearly saying that he's my boyfriend and that we're so very much in love. I told him that USCIS will give me NO permission to stay in the US longer if they suspect that our intentions are to eventually get married. Nick didn't back down telling me that that was the thruth and he'd stick to it.) Our application was approved April 07 (I stayed with NO visa from Oct06 to April07 but it was totally legal because that was the processiong time they'd been reviewing my application - 6 months!) I was given a permission to stay till Sept29 but left the US in early June to finally fly to Ukraine. I hadn't seen my family for two years and I was so happy to be with them again! In August, Nick came to visit and proposed. We filed our I-129F on Sept6 and got our NO2 on Jan7, 2008:)
