It takes minimum 6 months to get the long form birth certificate which was applied for 3 months ago. And when getting k1 they accepted short version never asked for long version

Hello, My wife's AOS petition was denied because she was unable to provide a long form birth certificate when the USCIS requested for it. We applied with consular affairs (South Africa) to recieve the document but the processing time is a minimum of 6 months. After receiving the confirmation and processing time of the long form birth certificate, we submitted the confirmation when replying to the request for evidence but we're denied. What do we do in our situation and how can we appeal this and make sure it doesn't get denied and/or get enough time to recieve her birth certificate. There must be something we can do and any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
