  1. Heck I wish we go this letter. If all that is needed to expedite the I-485 is to pay a Civil Surgeon 300-400 for another medical, I'd say it is worth it. Just follow the direction and send the I-693 with the attached letter, even if you have a valid DS-3025.
  2. If you are going to move, then you have no choice but to update your address and your case gets transferred to the new field office. No one really knows how USCIS "queue" cases anyways so it doesn't really matter what position you are in, but not updating your address does have negative consequences.
  3. I input your NOA date into the USCIS processing site and this is what I get. Notice that for your date, you have a "Service Request online" link. Try that. It won't hurt.
  4. List your spouse as beneficiary on life insurance, 401K, retirement accounts, trusts, etc. may also help.
  5. I bought my K1 beneficiary travel insurance for the first month she was in the US that included fairly good emergency health coverage. https://geobluetravelinsurance.com You can shop around to see if there are better deals out there? After marriage, you can usually update health insurance to cover spouse retroactive to the date of marriage even if you don't have the marriage certificate right away.
  6. Sounds about right. The more complete AOS guide is at https://www.visajourney.com/guides/adjustment-of-status-k1-k3-visas/ With tips at https://www.visajourney.com/guides/adjustment-of-status-tips-k1-k3-visas/ Don't forget to include the I-864 with the I-485. You can also file the I-765 and I-131 concurrently with the I-485 with no extra fees.
  7. Haha. Yes putting "0" would not have made any difference for you since you are single with no kids? But at least we are not as confused. 😂
  8. "Provide all of the information requested in the table below about yourself, all of your dependents, and any other individuals you financially support (do not include any individuals named in Part 2.). Information about assets that are not based on employment should be added in Item Number 20. and not in Item Number 15." Actually this is a little different from the previous version. Petitioner lists self and any current dependents--NOT the K1 beneficiary. For example, if the petitioner has kids to support, then the petitioner has to list how much is contributed to supporting the dependents. And the petitioner can work backwards from the HHS guidelines like the example in my previous link. So making more than the HHS guidelines is that much more convincing of financial support, and lower risk for depending on government assistance. So putting "0" can be interpreted by the consulate as the petitioner does not have any dependents.
  9. Part 3, Item 15, is the information about the petitioner contributing to the beneficiary--NOT what the beneficiary will earn. I believe this part is a remnant from the previous I-134 version? https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/758635-march-2021-k1-i-129f-filers/page/158/?tab=comments#comment-10668577 I showed how I would work backwards from the HHS guidelines to write a number for each beneficiary that the petitioner plans to support. Many have said to put "0", and seems to work out. But I personally would not just because by the K1 interview time, it would have been over a year wait for many and it is not worth risking giving the consulate any reason to assign the dreaded 221g. Remember I-134 is not legally binding, but the I-864 is when you file with the I-485 for the adjustment of status after the K1 beneficiary enters the US and gets married within 90 days. The I-134 just gives the consulate/embassy extra data to approve or not for the K1 visa. So why risk showing that the petitioner will contribute "0" to support the K1 beneficiary after they enter the US when the petitioner needs to support the beneficiary anyways in the I-864?
  10. It would be helpful if you filled out your Timeline to improve Visajourney stats pages for everyone, and also give others who are trying to help you understand where you are in the visa process.
  11. After you send off your I-129F, don't forget to fill out the Timeline. It helps update the Visajourney estimates for you, and stat pages for everyone, and also helps you keep track of your own case and others can refer to to help you whenever you post. Good luck!
  12. Technically, the beneficiaries can travel on their own passports while waiting for the K1 as long as they have legal entries and exits. So you can use the passport evidence to document the 6 -1 = 5 meetings from filing to the interview? As mentioned, only mention the meetings that did take place and no need to bring up the one that did not, and answer only if the consulate asks about that specific case if it was documented anywhere?
  13. For those with case numbers starting with IOE*, here is a cool site with data graphics. https://hilites.today/uscis_cases/ioe-stats You can use the slider at the bottom of each graph to find your range. Here is how I'm guessing to interpret the data. For example, I-765 cases that begin with IOE09171***** There were 9221 Received, 531 RFEs, 119 Rejected, 3024 Approved, and 6696 Other (which I assume is still waiting for biometrics, actively reviewing, or other waiting status). Don't assume that the IOE* numbers are in numerical order as received, or in order of Priority Date, or in any order, etc. From the reddit discussion, it seems that the IOE* assignment is fairly random. https://www.reddit.com/r/USCIS/comments/yn60ig/decoding_ioe_case_numbers/ But nonetheless, these are the only sites that I've come across with any data insight while still waiting for AOS approval. Hope this helps those still waiting...
  14. Hello AOS filing experts, We are K1-to-AOS along with EAD and AP. My foreign spouse wife has extended her state driver's license expiration using the AOS I-797C for an extra 4-months, which is the state one-time extension from the I-94. The next extension will require the EAD card. I have the feeling that we will not get the EAD within the next 4-months so she will not be able to drive after the license expires, especially that our USCIS earliest inquiry date for EAD is July 6, 2023. https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ Is an expiring driver's license reasonable grounds to request expedite EAD? Thanks in advance for any response.
