Don't fabricate a reason because you "worry that they might think that we just did it for other reasons besides wanting to live our life together". If that is your bona fide relationship reason, then answer genuinely and truthfully. In our case, the interview was waived. But we were in a relationship for over 5 years before deciding to get married. And we were worried that the consulate or USCIS would question us why we waited so long? Our answer would have been that we were finally ready to marry. Every couple has their reasons. The worst reason is a fabricated one.

N400 IRS Transcripts question
EatBulaga replied to ebhopeful's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
You could send in a small estimated tax payment, like 10, with the form 1040-ES. Keep the small positive balance with the IRS for a few years. In other words, when you file for the tax return leave 10 for next year's taxes. You lose at most a few years of interests on 10, which is a small price to pay to insure you don't owe any penalized tax or accrued interest with the IRS. -
No telling how USCIS will respond, and no use worrying about it now. But you can explain in the I-485's last part, Additional Information, that you recently noticed the DS-3025 discrepancy that was not the petitioner's or the beneficiary's fault. Doing an I-693 medical is not the worst thing in the green card process.

@Anjaek99 For public higher education degree programs, without fulfilling the state residency requirements, you file as an international student or out-of-state, which are more expensive. If you search around, you can find many other types of shorter training certifications that are cheaper like real estate license, food handler certificate, CPR certification, driver license, etc. Something I recommend all new immigrants to US is to go thru the Khan Academy courses on Personal Finance and Financial Literacy, especially the parts about filing taxes, tipping, etc. and other money culture in the US.

“Folks in the United States are guaranteed the right to counsel under the Sixth Amendment of the Constitution, but that applies only to criminal proceedings,” Grandinetti told Hawaii News Now. “And immigration proceedings are civil proceedings.” Immigration proceedings are civil proceedings???? So legal or illegal entries are civil matters????

If I remember right, I think it is fairly standard 11 x 13 sealed brown envelope. The sealed envelope with the side passport pouch will be delivered or for pick up.

Technically, the I-766/I-512 combo card or I-512 can be used as US entry for all travels outside the US. But theoretically, it was designed for necessary travels. With the Trump travel bans, AP entries may not be guaranteed as before? I remember reading somewhere a while back that if evidence and reasons are provided for cases of emergency travels, then approval is easier or expedited. In our I-131 application, we included a few of my foreign spouse's elderly relatives IDs and explained in the last part Additional Information as reasons for travel back to the Philippines in case situations arise. We ended up with the combo card after an I-765 expedite request.

Welcome letter - Help
EatBulaga replied to Rsnmrbl's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
Contact the Dublin consulate. https://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Ireland&cty=Dublin If you are petitioning the K1, then the next step is Dublin sending you the Packet 3 email with further instructions. -
Do you have utility bills in both names? If yes, include quarterly or all bills. We included bimonthly statements of gas and electric and quarterly garbage service statements, even the ads pages or blank pages. As @OldUser says, if you submit partial documents, expect an RFE. Also, include credit card statements if it shows itemized charges of each user. You can compare your list with ours. https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/827917-what-do-you-think-about-this-cover-letter-i-751/ Our I-751 was about 2 inches thick.

If you mean affidavit from friends, the letter template I gave to our church members to fill out and sign (notarized preferably) is below. The completed affidavit letters were maybe 4 sentences top. We scanned it and were instructed to upload to myUSCIS along with submitting a copy with the I-693 medical package. Go by what USCIS instructions for you. https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/798091-request-for-form-i-693-courtesy-email/page/2/#findComment-10831413 Affidavit template: (date) To USCIS, This is an affidavit that I, (family or friend name), have known (US-foreign couple names) since (date). I am a (US citizen or legal permanent residence with identification). (Explain in what capacity you have experienced the couple as husband-wife, e.g. attending church regularly as husband-wife). Sincerely, (signature with notary)

You can submit a copy of the DS-3025 with your I-485, but that is no guarantee that USCIS will not RFE for I-693 medical exam.

Doesn't hurt to have any income statements as long as your income is 1.25 * poverty guidelines for the number in your household + K1 beneficiary. 1. Do you mean the estimated tax vouchers? If yes, then that's not a problem. Just show your past 3 year's tax return transcripts showing you paid your taxes. 2. Can show appraisal values of properties and/or deeds. Are properties collecting rent payments? If yes, then that should show up in the tax return transcripts. And you can show rent deposits and explain in the last part of Addition Information. 3. Do you have 1099-R? Distributions should show up in the tax return transcripts. And show the bank deposits of the distributions. Is your income 1.25 * poverty guidelines for the number in your household + K1 beneficiary? If yes, then you don't need a joint sponsor. You can also include a bank reference letter showing your gross deposits and withdrawals from the past year. I-134 is not legally binding. I-864 is legally binding.

If you are talking about the I-693 medical exam, I don't think any insurance covers the costs or even partial costs. https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/798091-request-for-form-i-693-courtesy-email/page/2/#findComment-10826873 The Civil Surgeon we went to was in our health insurance network, but the clinic did not deduct any of the costs even with our health insurance card. You can call around / shop around, but the costs I found in Atlanta were around 300-400, even if you want the doctor to do the minimum like transcribe the vaccine record. In our case, my foreign spouse was missing a vaccine dose, so we paid an extra 160 just to get it done that day. We could have probably gotten the vaccine dose at Kroger for free, covered by our health insurance, but we wanted the I-693 paperwork done ASAP to submit to USCIS. Do you have dental coverage from work? Even with most dental coverage, expect the extraction and crown to be 500-1000 or higher.

How to get married... quickly!
EatBulaga replied to Nywoek's topic in Moving to the US and Your New Life In America
Do your research on how long it will take to get your marriage certificate. Depending on which county clerk, it can take a few days to over a month to get the marriage certificate, which can be your official name change. @Loren Y is a marriage officiant in Las Vegas that can get take your marriage license, perform a short ceremony, file for your marriage certificate and you can get the marriage certificate the same day. Don't know if he still logins to VJ? If you can send off your I-485 within 1 month of US entry, then you are balling. You should make sure that you have enough time after getting the marriage certificate to update name changes (if you have name change) to banks, state ID, SSN, etc. before the I-94 expires. -

Travel after/before N-400 interview?
EatBulaga replied to EatBulaga's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
The extension letter is nothing without the green card? So in other words, can not travel after green card is surrendered and before the US passport issued? -
I'm asking for someone not on VJ. If an interview is scheduled, can one travel outside of the country before the scheduled interview and return for the interview using the GC and 48-month extension letter? Or will the interview be re-scheduled? If an interview is scheduled, can one travel outside of the country after the interview but before the oath if the GC is taken back? Or after the oath before the US passport? Thanks in advance.

You can follow the AOS guide at https://www.visajourney.com/guides/adjustment-of-status-k1-k3-visas/ AOS needs to include marriage certificate from the county clerk, not just the marriage license. It doesn't hurt to include some bona fide relationship evidence with the I-485. But you definitely need to include more evidence of bona fide relationship with the I-751.

You can follow @Sukie advice to include affidavits in your I-751. After moving each time, did you update with the AR-11 to USCIS? https://www.uscis.gov/ar-11 You should have updated the drivers licenses/state IDs and statements with the updated addresses after each move. I'm a big fan of using the I-751, Part 11, Additional Information, to explain unique situations and evidence like address history, etc. You can also include copies of driver's licenses or state IDs with matching addresses or joint bank account(s)/credit cards with matching addresses, etc.
