  1. Ummm.. That's a good thought, and many thanks for suggesting it, but Dan Newhouse is not one of my fiancee's favourite people, and the feeling is probably mutual. Let's just say they are not politically aligned. She has been pro-active in calling Senator Patty Murray's office, so we're hoping she might get back to us at some point. Thanks for the suggestion, though, it's a positive one.
  2. There's nothing particularly complex or exceptional about our petition as far as I can tell. Maybe our age has something to do with it, I don't know. She's 52 and divorced, I'm 50 and never been married. Neither of us has any criminal record at all, not so much as a parking fine. I've never outstayed an ESTA when visiting, and never had any issues with immigration when visiting her in Washington State. I'm from Scotland, so I'm a British citizen, which isn't a problematic country as far as I know (despite Brexit). Whatever's causing the delay, I honestly don't think it can be the contents of our petition, but who knows?
  3. It'll be July before we can submit an inquiry. Honestly, this is utterly infuriating when almost all other cases in our range were processed in the first week of March (according to the search data from the Case Tracker app). The waiting was tolerable when everyone was in the same situation, but being left behind like this is really starting to take a toll on my fiancée and me. We're getting irritable, snapping at each other, not sleeping well. We just hit fifteen months today and have no idea how much longer this is going to take, or even if we've been completely forgotten or just ignored.
  4. They're bypassing literally hundreds of petitions and leaving them behind while they plough on through the rest of the year. Our NOA1 was January 12th 2022; we're now on almost 15 months and USCIS hasn't touched a single petition in our range in more than three weeks. I genuinely don't know what to do at this point; it feels like they've just lost our petition or completely ignored it.
  5. Looking at the trend over the last week, it looks very much as though action on January 2022 has more-or-less ground to a halt. My fiancee and I are one of the 11 untouched petitions in range 39000, so I'm guessing we should be preparing to be left on the shelf for months as they plough on through the rest of 2022? We're beginning to wonder if being left behind like this is an indication that they've found something in our application they don't like? I know there must be thousands of people in the same boat, but dear god this is frustrating after waiting over 14 months so far.
