  1. I now have citizenship interview setup for July 14th, 2023 after filing for N-400 as a permanent resident - one who fully resided in the US for more than 5 years. When I submitted N-400 app; I also submitted copies of 2021 taxes. A. . Since then, I have just mailed in taxes for 2022; and been unemployed for a month and half or so - and started a new one now. Can I just take a copy of 2022 taxes mailed for the the interview? B. Since I also a landlord and happen to have a non-paying tenant, for whom I am about file a case to evict the tenant who's not paying for few months now. This will probably show as a public record - would this negatively impact my application decision? C. I see a checklist to take with me to the interview on the USCIS web site - however it is not specific to my type of case. What should take with me; is there a more pragmatic/precise checklist for my type of case? I uploaded most the stuff during the application.
  2. Folks, Applicant submitted N-400 in Sept 22 as a Green Card holder of over 5 years. Now he's laid off as of Dec '22. Is there any required notification that need to be made to USCIS prior to the interview. I imagine not - however I haven't read all of USCIS/Immigration laws and policy manuals (yet). Please advise. Also, he's thinking to file for unemployment as there may or may not quick offer of next job. Would unemployment claims impact case decision favor-ability? Thoughts, experiences? Be kind to illuminate. Thanks!
  3. Dear Folks, I filed I-485 along with cover letter listing enclosures to include "A Copy Of Birth Certificate". Package also included copy of birth certificate after pages of my passport. I think last few pages of passport were boring without much significant info; then the birth certificate copy was placed along the attachments. Is it possible for USCIS folks to just miss to notice the page and issue a request for initial evidence for birth certificate; even when it is included on the package? How can I tell if they noticed the birth certificate and are asking for something more specific? Even then, the RIE letter does not mention anything specific on the birth certificate that they are expecting; rather, it seems to be a copy and paste of "birth certificate" requirement as evidence. Nonetheless, I have attached parts of cover letter, copy of birth certificate (obfuscated personal info) submitted with I-485 packet, and then request for initial evidence letter received on this post. We would like to respond with appropriate documentation, even if it resending the copy of birth cert, or more. What might might USICS be expecting here? Would a kind soul share expertise/experience/recommendation with sincere generosity here?
