  1. According to this article: https://www.boundless.com/blog/u-s-embassy-philippines-open-new-application-center-and-appointment-system/ The extra steps are required for appointments scheduled on or after September 28th
  2. My wife had her CFO seminar on 28th of May. That was the only available spot when we looked to book an appointment on the 25th when we picked up her passport. She got to the office at 6am and was one of the first in line and since she was early they actually did her interview before the seminar instead of after, she had no issues getting the certificate as it was emailed before she left the building. I know others had issues some issues, but I recommend get there as early as possible and be one of the first to get interviewed. Those counselors see hundreds of people a day, so I am sure they get more and more aggravated as they go through the day. So my advice, book when visa is on hand and go early, yes you will wait awhile but rather wait for hopefully an easier process than being the 200th person interviewed. Also, make sure to bring all the documents as requested on the CFO website, we just brought the entire packet she had for the interview. Hope this helps!
  3. If they follow the CDC guidance this may not speed up the process but actually extend the timeline for a lot of applicants. My wife got flagged for sputum testing and it was negative. We are currently having to get her tested by the state PH office due to the visa annotation. From my discussions with the nurses here and research, the process goes blood test if positive X-ray and the sputum. But even if the blood test is positive and everything else negative the cdc requires treatment for latent TB. If they follow this I believe you will see a lot more applicants having to stay for treatment of TB in the Philippines, rather than going through the process here. Now of course this is all my opinion, I personally planned for any worse case scenario when I was applying for our visa. It made all the hoops and hurdles that come with working with anything in the Philippines, much easier to deal with.
  4. Great! I am glad everything worked out and I am sure any stress has been lifted mostly with VOH. We finally got VOH on 3/25 and my wife entered the US on 3/31.
  5. You need a advisory of marriages from PSA if your visa is CR1/IR1.
  6. Yeah my wife met a lady who was getting her k1 visa and had her interview on the 18th of April and just received her visa earlier this week. So just like topsecret mentioned these things can be delayed for no rhyme or reason. All you can do is push and hopefully get some traction. we haven’t made it a week yet so I will wait at least a little while before reaching out
  7. We had our interview on Monday (May 13), the interview was very smooth with no issues and the consular said my wife’s visa was approved and wait 2 to 3 weeks for her visa. Since Monday our CEAC status has updated everyday but stayed at ready. I know it’s only been three days, but I wanted to check with the group to see if or when we should reach out to the embassy.
  8. Just got our letter as well interview May 13!
  9. That is great news! I have seen a few posts from those completing there interviews which is great progress. Still no movement on CR1s from what I have seen, me and my wife are converting to IR1 next week and the week after that will mark two full years from the day we started this process. I remain hopeful that the time waiting is coming to an end and soon we will all have our interview dates!
  10. Have you been seeing actual CR1’s get interview letters for May? The few I have seen get the interview letters have all be IR1, my application turns to IR1 in April. I’m just wondering if they are pushing the the IR1 letters first, because I saw one June IR1 get a letter and one May letter but one that is CR1 in May not get a letter yet.
  11. That is my thinking as well that next month will be June. Even though it’s another month of waiting to hope for it to move forward, it is good to see some kind of movement in February and March.
  12. Thanks for the update! I agree with your hypothesis, I will make one note that a cr1/ir1 applicant in a DQ Facebook group stated that his DQ date was May 29th. So hopefully those like myself that were DQ in June will start getting some letters. But while it has taken forever to get a IL I am at least happy to see some kind of movement after months of silence.
  13. The Utah Online Marriage is valid for all those items you listed. My marriage with Filipino wife is Legal in Philippines and United States. Though getting the Report of Marriage completed is quite a journey on its own. I made a post about my process that you can utilize or share for others to utilize. I had no issues in the entire process, like everything in the Philippines don’t expect it to be done in a month. hope this helps!
  14. I am a government employee. Currently I am making over 60,000 from that position, but I also work part time at an auto supply store. So depending on how much I work my income fluctuates between 68,000 - 72,000.
  15. Thank you for your help! Unless I am wrong correct me, but if we are sponsoring 1 person we just have to meet an income of 24,650? if this is true then my salary exceeds this requirement.
