  1. Pretty much my opinion of NCR. It's why I won't book an itinerary with an MNL stop.
  2. Ok, OP didn't say immigration. Yeah, I think you should have put in the I-485 before she left school.
  3. This does seem like a mistake has been made. Residing at your residence doesn't require you to lock down like an agoraphobe. You can go to the store, you can go camping, or 2 weeks in Vegas. Not sure how a couple weeks in Nigeria would pose a break in domicile. The only thong I can see that might be a problem is the residence end date? April 10th when the N-400 was filed. Perhaps the end date needed to be something more like 'currently' rather than an actual date?
  4. Was there an I-485 lodged when she quit school? "Customs or Agriculture.." doesn't sound like overstay to me.
  5. https://www.uscis.gov/archive/uscis-will-no-longer-accept-i-407-at-international-field-offices See if you can file the i-407 at the embassy and once that us done, you should have no problem getting a B-2 tourist visa.
  6. Our address is near Youngstown, OH Probably closest to Cleveland but not really sure where are the processing centers.
  7. That's what I would expect. Wonder why ours is taking so long,
  8. I've had a 13A about 14 years and I've lived the majority of the last 17 years in the Philippines with my wife who had a US B-2 tourist visa for about 12 years. I don't know about other visas, but my Philippine status was never a question during the AOS process and she has been an LPR for almost 3 years. We'll be filing her N-400 in September.
  9. N-400 Application On hold

  10. I (USC) and my wife (LPR) have Global Entry cards. Our son was born last October. In January I found out that our GE cards cover him for TSA Precheck, but he needs his own GE card for int'l travel. In January, I applied for his GE and at the time, the website said they were running about 4-6 months. It's going to be 6 months in a few days. I'm not sure how much background checking you can do on an 8 month old. I figured this would go pretty quick. Anyone have any experience getting GE for an infant? How long is GE taking now? (For anyone of any age.) We are flying back to the US in September (to start wife's N-400) and would like to do his 'interview' on arrival. He might be able to answer Who is your mama? dada? by then.
  11. Do come back to share your results. Good luck!
  12. So, my wife has been eligible to file the N-400 since the 1st but the Cleveland office seems to be one of the fastest and my daughter's wedding is early October which will put us out of the area that week and we have other things before then. I'm wondering how much reschedule leeway we would have for something like that?
  13. Right. None of the emails from Zelle were actually from Zelle. And when I did sell it, it was paid for via Zelle but my bank confirmed payment before they carted it off.
  14. I've had a 13A for almost 20 years. I think when I had it 10 years, I was just beginning to save a little money over the BB visa with annual trips with my wife out of the country. But if you legally want to work here, it's probably the way to go.
  15. Tried to sell a couch on fb and immediately I get a buyer call. He asks some weird question to make it seem he's interested in it and his cousin will pick it up. Then I get some bs email from zelle saying the amount was high enough I needed a commercial account. Guy calls right back and says he's willing to send me a larger amount so my zelle account will convert to a commercial account as long as I will send back the extra. I get another email from zelle stating all is OK and the guy calls wanting his money. Of course, there is no new money in my account so, sorry Charlie. I think people are used to dealing with honest people and have no street smarts so they fall for this stuff. The above happened again so I added "No zelle scams" to my ad and it stopped.
  16. Depends on what country you're from and a couple other factors but for Americans it is usually better to get the 13A in the US before you go to the RP.
  17. No I-751. We'd been married 12 years when she got her 10 year GC.
  18. Just wondering if I will be allowed in the interview with my wife? 3yr rule married to USC (15yrs now). I wasn't allowed in her B-2 interviews but I was in her I-485 interview. Seems like some reports here on the N-400 interviews are 2nd hand so I wonder if the spouse is allowed or not?
  19. Does someone have a link to the actual wording on this rule? I checked on uscis.gov/n-400 and I couldn't find anything specific. It was all about the continuous presence 3yrs/18 months, since we're married. She had the 18 months, 18 months after getting her GC.
  20. We pay Federal taxes using my friend's address.
  21. You can file online, right? We don't pay state income tax. We have DLs and plates from Alaska and spend a good bit of time in Texas. I'm retired and she stopped working when she got pregnant. We've been using a friend's address for some time and would like to use that.
  22. With the wife in the Philippines right now and will return to the US in September at the 5 month mark. Showing off the new baby to the family. The end of September she will satisfy the 3 year LPR rule so really we could file the N-400 in a couple weeks. The problem for us is the 90 rule. We travel a lot and full time in an RV. We have been receiving mail at a friend's house in Ohio for a year now. Are we ok to file in Ohio? What are they going to want as proof of this? Would a few credit card statements or bills suffice? Also, if we file early, I doubt anything would happen in the first 90 days but in the unlikely event an interview came up before we got back, would we be able to delay that due to being out of the country?
  23. So I looked for this list and found the 2008 version. Is this the latest? Not that a.lot would have changed but just trying to make sure my wife studies the right stuff.
  24. I'd demand refund of 32 years of taxes.
