  1. Yes. It's okay for now. From what I have heard, it's best to have the new passport when you get into the NVC stage for when you upload the documents there. But I also heard that it's fine to just bring the new passport along with the old one to the interview. You want to make sure the visa is put into the correct passport.
  2. You do not need to provide a new passport number right away. Your wife will need to have her passport renewed prior to the interview if you think she will have 6 months or less remaining on her passport by the time she enters the US. The US will not allow entry with less than 6 months left. I highly doubt they will tell you that you need to renew the passport before the interview. Check into the rules in India for passport renewal. Some countries won't allow renewals that early. Renewing the passport early if you can doesn't hurt at all. I did a name change on my passport which is the only reason why I get a renewed passport. Mine still has 2 years on it but due to the legal name change, it gets processed as a new one.
  3. I haven't had to deal with the change of address so I can't speak on that one. Both my I-130 and K3 are also in Potomac. USCIS honestly won't tell you anything beyond the "Worst case scenario" which is the inquiry date. They told me it was "ready for adjudication" months ago and that's the furthest I got with them directly. Our representative/congressman was able to confirm that our petition is assigned to a specific agent, however, also could not confirm an anticipated approval date. They did notify the agent about the inquiry from the representative. But that's all we've got. Yeah looks like the majority of us are in the same boat. You should fill out your visa timeline in your profile! It helps keep Visa Journey as accurate in timing as users allow
  4. Mine officially says the same thing. UGH. Fingers are crossed that we will both be approved soon!!
  5. Wow that is such a fast DQ! I am going to look into see how long it takes to get a police record as well as how long it is good for! Thanks so much for your help!!
  6. Yes! Great idea! Does the Police certificate have to be for both petitioner and beneficiary?
  7. I checked the documents tab and no changes. But we will check again tomorrow! Fingers are crossed!!
  8. Okay so our case status had never changed from "Your Case Has been Received and Receipt has been sent" until today. But it changed in the "Case History" section. Today it finally changed to "Case Is Being Actively Reviewed" with the date of June 23. So I went into Case History and now there are 6 lines in there with 2 different dates. What in the world is happening LOL
  9. We heard back today!! So fast! They didn't give a timeline but they said they will "Promptly reply with a copy of the response they receive from USCIS"
  10. Oh wow!! That's amazing!!! Our congressman is Darren Soto. Hopefully he's on it as fast!
  11. Hi all! We sent our email to our congressman on Friday - @Yellowcab1111 how long did it take you to get a reply?
  12. We literally have almost the exact same case! It's crazy! Days apart, same end location and I also have a great position waiting for me at my US office with work! Wow! Haha Here goes nothing
  13. Thank you! I found the spot to ask on our congressman's website. Thank you very much. Here's hoping we can get them to look into this for us!
  14. Wow! That's speedy! Do you have a sample of what you asked? I want to make sure it's worded properly haha
  15. AH! Amazing!!! I hope you hear sooner rather than later! Do you have an example of what you specifically asked?
  16. Interesting!! Ok. I'm going to try to end an inquiry to both our rep and congressman again and see what happens.
  17. Did you have the grounds to expedite or was it just a simple inquiry without meeting the expedite criteria?
  18. We reached out but they said we didn't meet the criteria for them to look into it for us. Basically they sent us a list of what is required if you want to submit an expedite request.
  19. We filed on April 15 2022. Literally did nothing for us. But seems to work for a lot of people. Of course, it's my luck that it went nowhere lol
  20. So weird. Our K3 application we sent on April 15, 2022 says "Your case status is unavailable at this time. We are working to get you accurate information as soon as possible." on MyUSCIS. It's said that for over a week now. Shows our I-130 status without issue. Very strange.
  21. LOL. I feel like they all have different verbiage. Who knows lol
