  1. Yes you will need to find out who your congressman or representative is and go through their website. They should have information on how to contact them.
  2. We got approved on Feb 28th and got our letter on March 3rd.
  3. Did you check if it got transferred? My NOA1 came from Nebraska but was sent to Potomac same day.
  4. Hi! You are only able to inquire with USCIS after 16 months I believe. But it's definitely a good idea to reach out to your state/county representative to look into it too. That helped some of us here.
  5. Hi all!! The NVC finally received our case on Friday, and now of course my work is looking to send me to California. I'm Canadian and am worried about what would happen if I travel before my interview is scheduled. Has anyone else ever had to do something like that??
  6. We got ours too this morning!! PHEW! We are moving and grooving now!!
  7. Wow! Amazing! I am a bit nervous because I have old work visas and one was in my old passport and the customs agent ripped it out when it had expired. So I have no idea what the visa number is now. Going to check with Emma to see what to do.
  8. The status officially has changed to "Approved"! No longer just in the documents section! Woot woot!
  9. Yes!! So fun!! Our applications have almost been identical the entire time haha I love it
  10. I hope yours is coming very soon!! Fingers are crossed for faster turnaround times for everything else!!
  11. Omg yasss!!!! You made me go look and we went into AR as of 02/25/23 and logged in and we are approved to!! YASSSSS!!!
  12. I just spoke to Emma. Case is still in review and still at Potomac. Asked if they have an estimated time for approval - they said 06/03/23. Basically my inquiry date.
  13. Oh gosh! Do you see the RFE notice anywhere in your MyUSCIS account??
  14. That's exactly what it says! Okay that's great! Assuming it's not an instant thing? It would have to be mailed to me? Thanks so much!
  15. Hi all! I checked for a post about this but couldn't really find exactly what my question was. Apologies if this is duplicate or if it was mentioned previously. I have a few questions regarding acquiring the green card after entering the US with an approved CR-1: Can you start to work immediately after crossing the border if you had a job offer waiting for you? Does already having a SSN expedite this process? I have a SSN due to having worked on a visa previously. Do you need a physical green card in hand to start to work?
  16. Yes. As mentioned, you just need to submit the documents of the NEW passport in the NVC stage if you have it. You will NEED an unexpired passport or one that does expire in 6 months or less at the interview.
  17. Yes lol You wouldn't want the old expired passport to have the visa.
