Congratulations!
You will receive in a few days the "Welcome to the USA" letter by mail. That letter says that within 3 weeks you will receive the GC but according to VisaJourney, it takes about a week to get it!

Waouw! I can not believe it! I guess I'll really realize once I have it in hands... It seems to good to be true!
After all the stress we endured, it is hard to believe we are done for almost 2 years!
Thank you to all for your support and advice during the long journey! You are all fantastic!
Wish everyone will have our luck!

Hi!
I just received an email saying that on June the 2nd, my current status is: Card production ordered.
Does it mean I will receive the green card by mail? without interview?
Just scared to make jump with happyness for nothing!
Thank you for your answers!

I said that my grand-father is in bad health and I would feel better to have the AP so I can support my family by jumping in a plane anytime if it is needed.
-
Nope, AP was not shown approved online. Actually I was not even able to track it online before April 24th and I succeeded doing it, it was just a touch.
I don't know how long it takes with Nebraska, we filled in Chicago and I had to redo my fingerprints so I was even more concerned because of the delay it will generate and the fact that each time I tried to add AP receipt number in my portofolio it said "error"!
Keep us informed once you receive it...
I keep my fingers crossed for you!

We applied for AOS February 20th and I just received today the Advanced Parole so yours might be on its way!
The funny thing is that I received an email from Immigration on April 24th saying that they approved the work authorisation and that it has been sent to me on April 23th so it has been a real surprise to find the Advance Parole instead of work authorisation in my mail box!
I fully understand how anxious you are as we organized our religious wedding in France in the end of June (everything is booked, paid...) so I was really looking forward receiving the AP!
Good luck!

First time I went, I had to wait TWO HOURS before it was my turn!!!!!!
I had to come back because the FBI was not able to proccess my fingerprint card and I decided to come earlier than scheduled on my new appointment letter... and that time, it took me 30 minutes in total to be done.
My suggestion will be that you take a book with you just in case...
Have fun!

I was so frustrated to do my biometrics again (because it means that the whole process is delayed) that I showed up today (wednesday) instead of 04/17 and thanksfully, I spoke first to an employee who waked in my direction because he was very nice. He told me it was ok to come earlier! But the woman at the reception desk was mean and refused me when she saw the date on the appointment letter. I told her that her colleague said it was ok... they talked for a while and I heard she told him not to do that again...
She has been "forced" to let me in the queue after talking with her supervisor.
All in all it took me half an hour and my biomertics are re-done.... Fingers are crossed that the FBI will be able to process the fingerprints card this time

I am really sorry for your father but fortunately you will be able to see him very soon.
Do you know how long the AP will be valid? did you pay to receive?
I wish your father's health will be better very soon!

Many thanks to all for your answer!
I will always be impress by USCIS' great sense of humour: in the letter for my new biometrics, it is said that they will not charge me extra fees to re-take my fingerprints! hahahahahaha... Hillarious!
Hope to have news for my AP ASAP!

Hello!
I just received in my mail today a letter from USCIS that says that the FBI was unable to process my fingerprints card regarding my AOS and I have a new Biometrics appointment.
Did anyone encounter the same thing?
Will it delay the process to get the green card?
Other question: How come that I can track my status for AOS and Work authorisation but not for AP?
As we plan to trave lto Europe at the very end of June, I am very concerned about the AP!
Many thanks for your help and support!

Me again!
I have been able to track my status online after the Biometrics for EAD and AOS but it still does not work for the AP! Is it normal?
Has it something to do with Biometrics I might have to do for it too?
The receipt of action I received for AP did not mention any Biometrics appointment (versus EAD and AOS)
Many thanks for your help!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!
After your post, we do hope we will have officer Beard once we got the interview...
-
The AP was not listed on the Biometrics appointment... Only AOS and EAD...
Cheers!

Thank you so much for your aswer! and congratulation for your approuval!!!!

Thank you for your message...
I guess the whole process of the K1 visa did not help me to cure my impatience...
Good luck for your AOS journey!
Let's wait again for news...

Hi!
I am very confused as I used to track my case online (K1 visa) without any problem!
I received by mail 3 receipt numbers for I-485, I-131 and I-765. All starting with the MSC letters and none of them work when I enter them in the USCIS.gov website.
I also received the biometrics appointment that mentions the same receipt numbers.
Is it the website that has a problem?
Any clue?
I tried to call them without success!
Thank you for your help!

congratulations!

CONGRATULATIONS! wish u all the best...

Just back from the Embassy! We have been approved! I still have to wait two days to get the visa in hands but that's it!
They didn't ask for evidence of ongoing relationship... the only question was "how do you like Houston" (as it is where my fiance lives)...
I wish you all the same kind of interview with people as nice as those in Belgium!
Good luck to all!

Congratulations!

Good luck! Hope the 29th will be a lucky day for both of us... My interview will be tomorrow too...
Fingers are crossed we will be approved the same day

Leaving US before AP arrives: USCIS said it was possible!
in Working & Traveling During US Immigration
Posted
Here is my story:
We organized the religious wedding in Europe (date, catering, house rental, honeymoon,...) before we got our K1 visa approved!!!!!
We even had already bought our airplane tickets and Friends & family who live all arround the world did it too!
We did that based on statistics!!! we were so confident!
You can imagine the stress it has been during the whole process...
First I was stressed about K1 visa that "had" to be approved in time so I could immediately go to the US and marry ASAP to start the AOS. Then I was waiting for the AP (the only form I coudn't track on the Immigration website, ironic isn't?)...
If you look at my timeline, you'll see that at the end, everything worked well and I even got the green card prior traveling but I slept very badly for months and had health problems due to the stress...
My suggestion is to wait until you have the AP in hand to organize your wedding... especially if you haven't book anything yet! How are you gonna enjoy your special day if you don't know how it will happen at the POE?
Keep in mind that you will have to start a new procedure to re enter in the US if you are denied and according to statistics, it takes 6 months!!! and you will not be able to visit your husband during that time...
Just my opinion...
